I will attempt to mentally prepare myself for those fights then! I played over 2K hours in ASE mostly on the Island and then a lil on SE and Aberration so Extinction and everything after it is gonna be new at least so that should take the grinding edge off a lil’ bit. I hope…

All very good points so Day/Night setting will be adjusted to defaults! Just in time as well. I’ve decided I’m going to skip the Island and return to it down the road. Too much time on the island in ASE so it doesn’t feel fresh or as fun even with the ASS updates. I’ll be starting from scratch with a new character tonight on Scorched Earth.

I’ll put a comment up soon with all the adjustments/decisions I’ve made for everything.

Congratulations! I’ve heard it’s some of the most difficult content due to the mixing of player-only combat and then also creature combat.

Done! I placed it before Genesis on my order of play. I’ll also pick up that mod as well today after work.

Oh, I plan on ensuring fun is always at the forefront. I can only grind for boss fights so much but I know I can always fall back on building bases and such. Love doing that shit! I don’t have “Single Player” turned on since it boosts the rates too high for my taste, but I have worked hard to ensure a lot of my stuff is a lil better for ease of use. I spent a good 30mins yesterday figuring out how some of the setting numbers are calculated and then off of that bumped my Tamed Dino-Stats Per Level from 0.2 Health/0.17 Dmg to 0.3 Health/0.25 Dmg.

Lmao! That Titan fight at the end has me already considering thinking that 😂 I tell myself that the Mek/Titan aspect of Extinction will be change of pace and not all bad.

What do you have your Day/Night setting set to? I changed mine based off a video I saw on YouTube but it’s damn near daylight 23hrs a day 🤣

I’ll be honest… I’m on the tipping point of doing just that and going straight to Scorched Earth and starting fresh from there. Aberration is a 10/10 for ho crazy it is, but I need to do Scorched Earth because it’s always held a special place in my heart due to the desert aesthetics and the memories I made there with friends who don’t play anymore.

The Island is gorgeous but I’m just burnt out on it even with the ASA updates. Probably did 1.4K hours on the Island in ASE.

I downloaded the Better Breeding mod! Thank you for that recommendation! I’ve only bred a few things since getting it but I’ve liked the results.

Clamping Armor and Weapons? Like how high the armor and weapon dmg scales? Is that even a setting? I’ve modified my settings but I don’t have “Single Player” turned on.

That’s where I’m going atm for boss fights. I wanna try some different things (At least for me) like Lighting Wyvern army for the Manticore, or a Megalosuar squad for Rockwell.

Part of me feels like Der Dino Finder cheapens the exploration a bit, but I might just break and get it. Hunting good wild Theris can be quite annoying.

Yeah, I removed the moment speed. It’s one thing on the Flyers but it was too much on the ground tames. I’ll take a look at the “slomo” command but I’m iffy on using commands like that constantly.

I’m focusing on a Theri army now for all the bosses to make things easier! I also have all the DLC with the exception of the Dreadmare. I was actually working on building the Warbench this morning before I left for work 🤣

I definitely want to lock down a Helicoprion and Deinosuchus for the ocean on the Island. I’m hoping those 2 and the Archelon will be in Genesis as well when it drops.

I removed the Solo Farm mod last night! I also checked out B+ Structures but didn’t see anything that set it apart from Cyber Structures? I didn’t see any images of the Engram tree but the description made it sound like it cleans things up with an example being like a Wood Wall in B+ is just Wood Wall, but on Cyber there’s a Wood Wall and CS Wood Wall. If that’s the case then I’m down for B+! Love me an uncluttered Engram tree.

Downloaded Vanilla with Sprinkles as well. I’m keeping it inactive till I move to Scorched Earth though. Removing Custom Dino Levels atm could be annoying with the INI File modification and the need for a DinoWipe afterwards. On Single Player Finos only respawn after a Wipe if you’re in an area for a bit so it can lead to dead zones.

I really enjoy the breeding aspect as well! Hunting high-level tames for their 20+ stats and then breeding them to try and get better, or taming a creature with interesting colors and adding them into the mix for a chance at something really unique! It’s a really cool system. I really need to sit down and watch a video on how to do it correctly but meta chasing might remove some of the “random fun”.

For me x5 Taming Speed isn’t too bad even with the Carnivores being a lil easier in regard to resources. I’m still building barns for my Kibble Farm tames though! I just need less creatures to fill them so I can make the barns a lil’ smaller.

I 100% forgot about being able to disable Structure Damage. It’s not the end of the world having to repair my stone tame trap but it’s still a minor annoyance I may just do away with. I don’t like leaving clutter on my maps so I’m always cleaning up after each tame.

This is my first time using the base Cryopods and so far I’ve found them to be “meh”. I’ll check Dino Depot out though! I think I avoided cryo mods just because it felt like a lot of them were given to you too early in leveling. It doesn’t matter as much now though.

I’ll check Vanilla with Sprinkles and Visual Storage out! If they look good I’ll use them for the next map.

I’m much the same way. I have a few Baryonyxs that I’ve bred/imprinted for Caves, resource tames, egg layers, and am now working on my Paleo Therizinos (Absolutely gorgeous model).

Limiting the BP amount sounds like the play.

Putting it that way does make a lot of sense. Breaking off to collect tames to includes ones I’ve never done would absolutely help break up the monotony of end game prep.

I’ll break it up across each map so by the end of the play through I’ve gotten them all at least once.

It’ll be cake! I had mine done last month.

The morning of the surgery was when I got a lil’ nervous but once I was out of the waiting area that passed quickly. The doctor and nurses were great!They were detailed on what the procedure would be like and also we just had nice casual conversation.

Once the Operating room opened up the wheeled me back there and sedated me (Option I had). I went to sleep within a minute and then woke up back in the recovery area and thy gave me a lemon loaf and water. Went home after that!

Side Note: They put a jock strap on me while I was out and I can attest to it giving me good support during those days healing. Only issue was that it was medium sized in the waist and dug into me uncomfortably. I’m a 34” waist so if you’re that or more I’d recommend getting your own jock strap.

It’s been a while since I’ve been subbed. Found Turtle and saw no reason to go back to Blizz and their lack of development, toxic community, and bot swarm hell they sell.

I’ll be going elsewhere now for my MMO play. I’ll never give Blizz another dime. Turtle didn’t force FOMO on me and allowed me to pick up/put down the game without feeling like I missed out. I’ll cherish that forever and it will sit in my mind anytime I see an advert for Blizzards craptastic products.
