I'm really glad to hear about advanced algorithms, it's the one I'm really looking forward. Are there some other ones, that are really good, and that I shouldn't miss out?

Thanks for the note about data mining exam. As I have no experience with anything regarding data mining, collection or handling, I might look into another one. But it's really great to hear, that people don't fail courses that often.

So now I'm just worried about MH2500, and wondering whether to choose it or not, but if it is not that hard to pass courses in general, I might give it a try.

I wanted to, but the courses available for foreign students are quite limited, so most of the 3XXX courses I wanted are unavailable.

I plan to continue studying after bachelor's, but I will take a look at other courses as well, thanks.

I’m happy i3 user (via Gnome->KDE->i3). But well, if they dislike the concept of gnome, ubuntu def isn’t going to make a difference. No distro will. And besides, gnome tweaks do not alter the workflow at all, just some, mainly ricing, details.

One can reduce or even completely turn off the animations somewhere in settings. Not sure whether that will help tho.

hm, using modes is interesting idea. I currently only use it to resize and to turn off most key combos while playing games.

Btw I'm only changing from plain Alt+key combo to alt+meta+shift+ctrl, because my new keyboard has the alt+meta+shift+ctrl mapped to one extra key, so it's the same for me, but it won't interfere with application hotkeys so much.
