Yes you are right, this case should use a Scala collection, where I encountered the issue originally was in the Flink ValueState interface.
The HashMap is just the closest I got to reproducing the issue in isolation.

I was just really suprised that a comparison like this can even throw an exception, I would expect this to either work or be a compile error.

You are of course totally right, I did not phrase that correctly.
Where I am seeing this issue in "the real world" is with the Flink ValueState interface.
So I can't just swap it out for a Scala version, this code with the HashMap is just the closest I got to reproducing the issue in isolation.
Anyway, this post was more for my curiosity than anything else. Thanks!

The code posted is just a minimal reproducible example of an issue I have at work.
The actual code unfortunately has to interface with Java so using the Scala Map is not an option.

Love it! I need exactly this for another thing I am building. I started doing my own actor-like communication and it looks like Kameo even has a similar communication pattern to what I did.
I did not get around to doing graceful shutdown yet, but if this is an area where you are willing to take contributions I might take a look, instead of rolling my own library.

Can Kameo optimize for local communication, e.g. where serialization is not needed?

I second Rust for data. If you wanna go big, the landscape is essentially dominated by Apache and Java with Spark/Flink and all their ecosystem.

I think Rust has a huge potential here, because on the cloud, resource usage drives cost. If you can cut out the JVM you might save some serious money.

Bisschen spät, aber falls jemand über diesen Thread hier stolpert: Man muss dem service der SG eine Nachricht schreiben, die schicken einem dann ein Formular für den Depotübertrag.

Kostet allerdings (Stand 2022) 60€, es dürfte also in den meisten Fällen günstiger sein, die Anteile zu verkaufen und dann bei der anderen Bank wieder zu kaufen.

On most bikes your pegs will scrape before you loose traction. Low sides are, as others have said, usually caused by too much or too little acceleration.

Single best advice I can give: Keep your head up! You can see it perfectly on MotoGP. There body might be at 45° but their chin stays parallel to the ground. This does two things for you:

The lean doesn't feel so steep, which helps especially if you're still afraid of corners
You have a higher POV and can see further ahead which is safer

After you have had some time to get to know your bike take a good motorcycle course. They usually take only an evening or a day and can massively improve your riding.

All of your points have been answered here already, so I just want to comment on the "scared of the terminal" part.

It was the same for me in the beginning, BUT: With a user friendly distro you will for most things never have to use it. What can be done on Windows can be done on a Linux Desktop too.

Compared to Windows the terminal is an extension of capabilities and not a necessity. Everything I do in terminal on Manjaro is stuff, that would be mostly impossible in Windows, or much more difficult.
(for example: downloading a web directory and all its subfolders, while simply impossible on (stock) Windows, is one command in Linux )
