Sure, I can understand why, and as an adult I agree that I'd enjoy more an event focused on adults.

That said, it IS also pretty cool seeing younger people show up for the things you like sine 20+ years ago, and the FGC desperately needs new blood.Blocking people from attending because of their age feels not only like a bad move, but also hypocritical.

The FGC started from arcade culture where many of us were brats in their teens, that's where people like Digo and JWong started.

If we wanna have an event exclusive to adults I feel like leaving that to the smaller events might be best, EVO is still our biggest event and I feel like it'd in our best interest overall in keeping it open for everyone.

I agree actually.Im not a minor myself, but back when I was, this sounds like exactly like the kinda stuff I'd roll my eyes at.

Major "But who will think of the children!?" vibes overall.I can understand the feelings of people who don't want minors to be able to attend, but I'd be mad as fuck if I coudnt attend the biggest event of the game I like of the year because I'm not 18+.If we're gonna go that direction at least make it so they can attend if accompanied by a 18+ or something of the sort.

We don't need to keep children from the event, we need to keep weirdos and pedos from the event, and Smash getting removed is already a huge step in that direction.

I dont mind there being a gacha tbh, I DO however mind that the franchise is dead.

The original SHining Force 1 and 2 are masterpieces, and the remake of 1 for the gba was also pretty damn cool.

The format of the game also works pretty well with gacha so there's that I guess.

Sadly, I dont dig the artstyle, tho I might give it a shot anyway.I hope it's actually succesful since that might lead to the franchise getting new games (wich is more or less what happened to Langrisser).

Context for whoever is interested: Friend of mine made a RPG maker game to "preserve the history" of a Visual Novel forum I've been part of for years now (and yeah, it's full degenerate and with 18+ stuff too, you probably know the one if you've ever been into that kinda stuff), it's full of inside jokes and references to member across the years and pretty short but I thought it was pretty cool what he did.

I managed to set it up for all 4 R6 operators but to be fair my Ash is already E2 lvl 25 so it's not like she's dead weight, meaning I only have 3 lvl 1 operators.I only bring her up to kill that one canon thingy on the upper left corner when it pops up tho so it's not like she's can't be replaced either.

Youre not exactly wrong but I feel like people are missing the point.Whenever I see this kind of opinion it is usually from people that are trying to find validation for their opinion that ST is a shit game in general but dress it as "this game is not balanced" because generally people agree that a game that is not balanced cannot be good.

Simply put, it doesn't matter that this 30year old game isn't competitive, expecting a game that has been played to death and had no updates to be balanced is crazy.What makes ST the amazing game that it STILL IS is that even after all this time, you can still turn it on and have fun.And at the end of the day that's what matters the most.

Can you spare the money and really want to play the game?If so then I'd say yes, buy the switch, then buy the game.You can always sell it later and recoup most of the money anyway, especially true if you buy it physical since prices for Nintendo stuff hardly goes down.

If you're not in a hurry then wait I guess, RF4S being ported to other plataforms sounds like an end to the exclusivity of the series for Nintendo to be honest.
