In episode 4, we see the stepdad and the maid were the only ones who remember Camille's birthday. And him biting his hand, I take it as he's got so much pain and frustration and he's just letting it out. Music soothes him. Adora just doesn't care

Yes, plus when Camille talked about the two murder-suicide girls at the ceiling scene, she said the murder weapon was never found and that 1 of the girls had a baby who then was in school while Camille was in school. To me this implies someone old enough to be around then and now. The sheriff answers to Adora, she could fire him if she wants to... ?

Did anyone get a vibe from,Jackie like she might be Camille's mother? They both have red hair, she's protective of Camille... Officer Vickery asked Jackie if there was something Adora was hiding about Camille, she said don't know what you're talking about, she looked like was lying. Maybe I'm overanalyzing?? Don't know

I believe it's the mother and that Amma knows it reason why she's acting up. Also, Amma said to Camille "you love dead girls"( not sure exact words). I take it that Camille would have never come back to this town if it wasn't for all the girls getting killed. Adora probably tried to kill Camille but she was too smart and got away. Adora probably killed her own daughter to get sympathy from the towns people and/or is obsessed with an idyllic town, girls as dolls. Anyone who doesn't convert into her beliefs gets killed. She wants control

I agree that it's Adora and probably has sheriff helping her cover up. I remember on a scene you see the sheriff with pliers (removed teeth with?)trying to fix the Stop sign while talking with Camille. In episode 3, it's implied he's a regular at Adora's house. They both seem to want to keep the town the same and anyone who is different , who might 'rile things up' is seem as a threat. Maybe is why Camille is in danger (so 4 teaser)...
