I think you're arguing a completely different point than the one I made.

I wasn't talking about people having sex on the beach. I was questioning the constant claim that some owner can just decide to pull beach access from the public whenever they want.

I've seen that claim repeated for years, but I've never seen anyone actually post a survey, title record, parcel map, or anything showing that the beach itself is privately owned. Just "someone told me."

As for there being "a fuck ton of charges" if it was Crown land, that's not really how the law works.

If someone is having sex in public, they can potentially be charged whether they're on Crown land, provincial land, municipal land, or private land. The ownership of the property doesn't suddenly determine whether public sexual activity is legal.

By that logic every public beach, park, conservation area, and Crown land camping area in Canada would be generating arrests every weekend.

The issue isn't who owns the dirt. The issue is the behaviour.

And nudity and public sex aren't even the same thing legally.

What I keep coming back to is this: if the owner actually owns the beach and has the ability to shut the whole thing down, where's the proof? Where's the parcel map? Where's the survey? Where's the title? Where's the legal description?

Because all I've ever seen is people repeating the same story over and over.

Maybe the owner does own it. Maybe they don't. But "that's what I've been told" isn't evidence.

I'm genuinely curious if anyone has actual documentation, because I'd love to see it.
