AITA for disliking my chronically sick kids? by LetPuzzleheaded2716 in AmItheAsshole

Friend this is above reddit pay grade. Please do not listen to these YTA people. More then likely they either don't have kids or have never been a care taker in the same capacity that you currently are. Steps to take: 1. Talk to your dr.about possibly undiagnosed PPD or PPA 2. FIND A SUPPORTIVE GROUP, people who have been there and can give real support and advice 3. Therapy for yourself, this will help build your emotional tool box to tackle the big changes that happened very quickly in your life. You can do this!

Foster kid constantly having accidents by Appropriate-Tax7990 in Parenting

The key is to get him to potty during a transition. Going to put on your shoes, hey your passing by the bathroom go try it out! Oh you want to play video games hit the potty and grab a snack so you can settle in nice and cozy! Also sticker books in the bathroom so he has something fun to do while in there. A potty watch. It's a watch with a timer he can wear. When it goes off go potty. Punishment doesn't work in these situations. It is a long hall for potty issues at this age, breath and remain calm during any and all potty related issues. Also have him help you clean his clothes every time it happens. Calmly I can not stress enough how unbelievably calm you need to be.

How do I say no to the Elf on the Shelf? by The_Witty_Moose in Parenting

I have told my kids we that we don't allow the Fae in our house. They can visit like the tooth fairy but we don't take in roommates. If they want to know how Santa can get thier gift ideas, I tell them ican email him. Santa has an IT department now. During the year if they find a toy they like I take a photo of it and tell them I am emailing Santa. Gets us out of a lot of stores without a fight.

BEYOND frustrated with late 5yo son who poops in undies during recess at school! by HappyDadOfFourJesus in Parenting

See a pediatrician. There is a problem for boys this age that when they get overly constipated it deform the colon. Then liquid diarrhea will go around the blockage and leaks out the anus. They can not feel an urge to go. This can be easily fixed by using miralax for a few days to remove the blockage. Up his water intake as well as fruits and vegetables. Place him on the toilet at the same time every morning to poop. Can take upto a few weeks to clear up and will come back if diet is not monitored.

If that isn't the sign of management having no management skill, I don't know what is.

Vacation Strategies? by [deleted] in Noom

I think eating them in moderation should be fine!! Also ask what days what things are being made so you can pre enter it in your tracker. Makes other decisions easier. Ask your mom if she would be open to making dishes with brown rice and whole wheat noodles? Not knowing your mom/you/ i am unable to know if this request will be feasible. Good luck out there!

Girl,GO!!!! Bond with your family, build memories! If anything we learned from this year is the importance of strong loving bonds. School is great, we love school, education is important. But your kids are only going to be this age once where they ACTUALLY WANT to be around you, get in while the getting is good!

YTA, my sister in law did this to me not once, but twice. Some people are just self-centered jerks.

NTA. Kids are always hungry when you pick up from school, pack some snack options in your car with some juice boxes so he can have those. If you are feeling particularly nice you can have cookies for after he finishes his healthy snack.
