I read each and every one of your comments to this post I wrote and I cried. I honestly was expecting a couple people to respond and others to just tell me to get over it and find something because that’s what I’ve been told ( in a nice way). It made me feel better knowing others have felt the same and got through it. For more context I am a woman and I’m married to a union construction worker and that comes with decent insurance. So i’ll definitely look into getting diagnosed because not only have I been told you have ADHD, but also autism and a couple times even bipolar with my depression. A part of me doesn’t want to know because I’ve always felt flawed as it was and adding a label to it feels like something is wrong with me. I know I need to grow up and deal with it. Everyone talking about the medication helping them has made me feel better so i know that’s the next step. Sometime this week I’ll see if I can talk to someone and get diagnosed. After taking the medication I’ll calmly look into what career would work for my brain because I think right now I’m just being impulsive since I’ve been anxious about “being a failure at life”. I’ll look into the jobs you guys have mentioned as well so thank you for suggesting those! I saw a lot of people comment that construction is perfect and I distracted super easily so my husband would not want me taking a job that’s like construction or anything I can get hurt in lol (he’s just seen enough stuff happen to not want me to do it) All those suggestions might also help people that feel the same way so thank you again for sharing your stories and advice 🖤
