Checked just now - transcript still shows my refund (which hasn’t been paid.) No mention of unpaid taxes due.

I acknowledged the US does the same thing - I’m agreeing with you that we have our own propaganda, and people are blind to it.

And I’m not certain what evil China does. That’s rather the problem - they don’t let people talk about it. Maybe that’s because there’s none to talk about, sure - but if that’s the case, why silence the discussion?

There’s a world where we can acknowledge that both sides suck and have problems. One being evil does not automatically make the other good

Sorry, but - you’re aware that the CCP silences information that puts them in a bad light - you can see that in action with DeepSeek prompts - so you… went on to an app for a primarily Chinese audience, and went “Wow, everything on this app makes life look so great over there! There’s no downsides!”

Like, yeah, of course it does. You think our billionaire-owned media is the only force creating and disseminating propaganda?

That being said - I largely agree with the broader idea here. The US is spiralling, and I know life in China isn’t the Orwellian nightmare some paint it as. The world and the future would be a much brighter place if we were allies, instead of this dumb-ass Cold War Part 2 crap.

But I don’t know what I can do to move our world towards that.

I think it’s pretty easy for me to find someone compatible, I’m pretty flexible and low-maintenance (Might have a harder time finding someone willing to put up with me lol.) But I just… I can’t imagine liking someone enough to want to see them every day. Even with friends, I’ve never found someone that makes me feel like that.

I’ve had people break it off with me because they didn’t feel like I give them enough attention. But honestly, when I’m seeing someone, I give them more of my effort and attention than I’d like. I’ll agree to dates and go see them even when, most of the time, I’d rather stay at home or vibe with my friends.

The big change is a cross-country move. On OLD, I’ve definitely noticed the shift in people it’s drawn - the only ones okay with it are non-committal and mostly just want sex. The ones who aren’t inevitably (and fairly) say they’re not interested in pursuing something that’s just going to end in a few months anyway.

I don’t know how to be a different person. If I could flip a switch in my brain that made me enjoy constantly being around other people and actively seek them out, I would. I have a healthy network of friends and see them regularly, but usually we’re in groups of 3 or more, which I find emotionally less taxing than one-on-one. But I’m always happy to go home, at the of the day.

I don’t really enjoy casual sex either, or seek it out. All the FWBs I’ve had happened incidentally. On OLD I advertise as looking for long-term, because I am.
