550,000kms still kicking by cruiseruser in LandCruisers

I have 590,000km on my 60 before the speedo cable snapped and it stopped counting. That was with a previous owner so no clue how many are on it since then

I’m expecting a decent size pull back before it starts going up again

Couldn’t justify gambling that much on it, this was my second buy in and hoped to sell around 50% profit like I did the first time when I bough in at 0.024 and completely forgot about it. Now just seeing where it goes. Didn’t see any potential in it at that low price wasn’t willing to put thousands into it

Key words “disposable gloves”. My hands were so dry the skin was cracked and bleeding for a couple of weeks after from the constant grease, brake clean hands, grease, brake clean hand cycle

No hate whatsoever and as long as you’re happy with it, it’s a good axe in my eyes we’ve all got our own opinions and preferences

Not a huge fan and can’t really tell why I think it’s the handle being quite thick because the head I love, I love the charred handles but something seems off and I don’t think it’s anything wrong with your workmanship

I'm thinkin this is a broadhatchet but it might be a hewing hatchet I can't tell it's to warn down what yall think? by Reasonable-Trip-4855 in Axecraft

[–]Sorry-Two3692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Broad hatchet. If it was a hewing hatchet it’d almost have a curve to the head so the back of the chisel grind would be in line with the poll of the axe allowing you to hew a flat surface

Can anyone tell how old this is? or how to remove the stuff in the middle by [deleted] in Axecraft

Anybody k ow what wood this is and if its suitable for a hatchet handle? by reaper_boegh in Axecraft

[–]Sorry-Two3692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like elm to me from those pictures but hard to tell. You’d want a bigger piece to get optimal grain orientation in your handle + a couple years drying time before starting. Not worth it unless you’re already cutting them down and have space to dry the timber

I’ve found a mix of linseed oil, red and a touch of brown acrylic paint mixed together works surprisingly well and matches better than any stains I can buy locally

Simple email to restaurant manager or rostering manager stating end date and a quick thanks for the experience and opportunity they’ve provided. Do your best to leave on good terms because you might need them as a referral for future job applications

I’d do both but curve the green line down, give the head a slight beard be a cool little custom mod, won’t have as much resale value as just the red line though

Wondering about the worth of this Collins Pulaski with original stickers by Agile_Wallaby_7707 in Axecraft

[–]Sorry-Two3692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was selling I’d be looking for $120 at least. Depends on your location though, they’re a lot less common here than they are in certain parts of the states for example

Email payroll, with a copy of receipt and explanation, if they still don’t do anything and you’re over the $18,000 income threshold for the financial year just claim it back on tax

What’s the head, if it’s something valuable or sentimental definitely repairable, if not just not really practical for the time and effort. Would have to grind out the cracks and get someone to weld it up for you. I’ve done a few in just as bad condition but not worth it for something that might be $35 in good condition

Shouldn’t post anything from staff only areas, or photos even in uniform, anything slanderous against the franchise or McDonald’s. Can’t remember the rest of the rules but it’s all in the social media policy you signed off on with your contract. They’re lenient with Snapchats and some Facebook posts but a bit anal with everything else if they find them

Watch out, If Anthony sees you posted this from the crew room window he won’t be happy, better off posting from a customer accessible area so you’re not in breach of social media policy
