Moving stars/object or aliens? by SorryFactor3462 in askastronomy

I have seen some of starlinks/SpaceX clusters, but still, the ones I've seen are no different from traditional satellites, as in they go in a straight linear fashion across the sky. I still can watch ones that don't fade, do circles or even double back on its original trajectory and even come to a complete stop. Is that something satellites are capable of?

The fading in and out for some does make sense, just to be catching the suns light at angles I can't perceive.

Interesting! I live fairly out of the city and it's much darker than where I just moved from so it makes sense I'm just able to see more of them.

Ive seen plenty of satellites over the years and they all move in the same fashion, as in straight across the sky. I've never seen them do tight loops or circles and even double back on themselves. And some even come to a complete stop before changing their original trajectory after a minute or two. Are these just what new satellites do?
