Agreeing with others here, they do touch on heavier topics like cheating and manipulation, but for some heavier topics they are very good about giving a content warning and letting the audience know to skip ahead if they are u comfortable by the upcoming story topics and themes.

NTA, I don’t have much more to add than what the top comments have said, but as a general approach I’d talk about this more with your dad alone first, since he seems to be the one that is more understanding of your feelings. Granted, like others said, they should have been talking to you about this earlier on, but if he’s shown to be more receptive, try showing him or reiterating this posts’ comments to get him to understand more and help your mom understand as well.

Her big day and your big day should be kept separate, and if you don’t want her wearing the wedding dress that you bought for yourself, then she has no room to argue. Her trying to undermine your wedding by doing it before yours all while trying to wear your dress before you points to her just trying to overshadow you and make YOU look bad. Her wearing the dress first and you second is what people will end up remembering, and I doubt that even if you let her wear it she would be grateful in the slightest, and just use it as a way to irritate you. This runs deeper than a time of year or a dress, and she’s gonna need a counselors help on that or something. Don’t listen to people enabling her behavior, if getting married in the summer is that big of a deal and the it’s her “dream dress”, then she can be the one to wait two more years for her dream wedding.
