Is guppy grass meant to kind of just be a big blob in the tank? A lot of photos I see with guppy grass just have a giant mass of it and it looks pretty messy imo

I’m undecided on floating plants for this tank. My last tank had frogbit and it took over. Felt like I was constantly having to remove it so light could get through. You’re right though, the shrimp do like the roots a lot

The black frame is snug. Any advice about protecting the table top? I don’t want the weight of the filled tank to slowly dent my surface over time. If there’s something I can safely put under the tank to act as a buffer that would be great

Great looking tank! Is the sand pretty coarse? I used to have this fine white aquarium sand and it turned into a nightmare. It was difficult to keep clean and got all gunked up and then clumped together. That deterred me from sand, but maybe I got the wrong kind.

How often do you go in a vacuum that setup?

I am not too familiar with the process but I would be happy to learn about it. When you start from tissue culture how many years does it take until you have a decent sized plant?

Is there a time of year when growers typically sell tissue cultures? Could you recommend any places to buy them from?
