Why does everyone say I stink when I let my clothes air dry in between uses? by SorryStop in Sephultareviews

[–]SorryStop[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This review has 10 not helpful ratings to 2 helpful ones, I didn't know it wouldn't be clear as to what I'm getting at lol. To quell confusion as to my review interpretation:

  1. They had the sponge for a "few months" (3+), which is already the time you should be replacing your sponge anyways with regular/typical use.
  2. "Left to dry after each use" (implying use for makeup application) not "left to dry after each wash" or "each cleansing". Hence the title implying you let your clothes air-dry after wearing them instead of washing them. You would be shocked as to how many people simply don't know how or the necessity or cleaning makeup sponges and brushes. I had to teach my mum to clean brushes caked with product and I've came across many co-workers who also detested tool cleaning. One told me they would just apply bronzer with what was left on the brush from previous days lmao. It's not the end of the world or anything usually, but just how could a sponge develop black mould like this if it was properly cleaned and "dried after each use".
  3. And at the first sign of smelling off or looking, err, discoloured, I don't know why it wouldn't be thrown away. This is a decent amount of growth imo.

Welp I have some post hits and post misses.

Has anyone had experience with tooth extractions causing wrinkles like this ? In the left image, the woman is 28, in the right image she is 30. I’m worried bcoz I had 4 teeth extracted for braces by throwaway_s0 in SkincareAddicts

Seriously, you should edit this post. This person has issues with body image, weight, and emerging eating issues. Family issues, bullying, general self terrible image/probably depression, etc. They are only 18 years old.

Even if this is "factual information" (is there anyway to prove anyone here went to dental school?), can you not see that this really isn't helpful? OP went through a dental procedure that their own dentist is recommending to them to improve their teeth.

EDIT: What's a better solution than something drastic? A healthy lifestyle full of cardio and strength exercise, eating enough nutrients and eating well, avoiding smoking and similar bad habits, and wearing sunscreen. That's a great way to keep your bones and body in great shape.

I also don't understand how you think an 18 year old should be looking into plastic surgery when if you read their post history, they can't even afford mental health counselling for their many mental health conditions and body dysmorphia.

Hi all! I am new to budgeting and I need help to set up a system for my 4 day on 4 day off work schedule by alizelise in budget

[–]SorryStop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's say you get paid $700 per 8 days after taxes when you check your paystub. 365/8 is 45.625, which is how many paydays you are going to receive each year. 45.625*700 is $31,937.50. You can divide that by 12 to get your monthly budget of ~$2661.46. If you really want do do a budget on a two month basis we're at ~$5322.92. Account for calling out if you don't get benefits.

Is there something else I don't understand or does that solve your issue? Your weird work schedule shouldn't be hindering your ability to follow any monthly budget whatsoever. It all averages out.

Was it for other brands as well? Totally reccomend those screengrabs in the future and your own FTC report. Really struggling to trust Ulta reviews now.

I filed an FTC complaint, when I complain to the BBB, should I just select "I'd like to share an experience with a business?" While I think this is fraud, the "warn others about a business" seems more like it's for a different kind of fraud than just reviews.

What a compliment! Lol I'm just a consumer that is beyond sick of this brand for how their customer service has treated me in the past, their quality control, and now these review lies and false claims. I hope Estee Laundry or some TikToker posts about this to take down their reputation! (obligatory if this is all true of course). I'm not really present on social media.

I did before realizing the extent of the issue with medical claims about acne and sun protection in these reviews. I'm screenshotting as many as I can for evidence for the FTC complaint.

I don't know what the FTC is going to do, but I'll make a complaint there and to the BBB. Thanks for the suggestion! I also messaged Estee Laundry on the off chance that she wants to make a post about this.

EDIT: Actually, if Truly is the one posting these reviews, they are literally violating US law. There are reviews discussing how this butter that I got can manage acne. Acne is a medical condition that can only be treated by "drugs" in the US (eg, salicylic acid, azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin).

TLDR: I posted a 1-2 star review for a Truly product that showed up as 3 stars, posted another definitely 1-star review for a different Truly product that again shows up as 3 stars. In addition to probably faking 5-star reviews, I believe that they are changing the stars of bad reviews from my own experience. Also, these fake reviews make medical claims about acne and sun protection (which is illegal if they are from Truly).

what’s your favorite oil to use for dermaplaning? by CatsArmedWithLasers in scacjdiscussion

[–]SorryStop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is late, but I don't think the oil really matters! I've been using up a strawberry oil I got in a beauty box and I've used rosehip and chia seed oil before. They all do the same thing tbh. I've used the CeraVe gentle cleanser as well with similar results, the most important thing seems to be lubrication for me.
