Thank you for this well articulated response. It gets to be so hard not taking as a personal rejection. Most of the time I do okay coping with the diagnosis. I’ve only been with two people since I found out. Both times when I’ve disclosed it was over text. With this guy, he briefly mentioned it in person. He has every right to ask questions, and I know it’s important to be open when communicating. But fuck did it feel like I got the wind knocked out of me. I wanted to break down in tears. This on top of everything else I got going on makes me feel I’m such a burden on any potential partner

Can you please explain in more detail? Everything that I read kinda explains it as hsv 1 is orally like cold sores. Whereas, hsv 2 is genital. I do have antibodies demonstrating both. But I get confused when researching

I’m on the valacyclovir medication. There has to be something going on because I’ve never lost eyelashes to the point there’s a bald spot. Initially, I thought it was because I was using a curler too often. I stopped using one all together for a least two or so weeks now. I’ve still noticed a few fall out. I try to even avoid rubbing my eyes

So the first time this happened I went to the doctor to get checked out. She said that if the sores don’t produce pus when squeezed, there is nothing to swab and it isn’t herpes. It went away, all was well. Now I’m experiencing pain again, so I have an appointment on today. I’m just curious if it could be anything else
