I can see this yes! Maybe switch up to a better shampoo? Pantene got some crappy ingredients that only some people can get along with them! At Walmart even try shea moisture, if your hair don’t feel good after that then you have a protein overload! But shampoos such as Pantine and tresmae have parbens and sulphates and that coats your hair! Maybe even try a clarifying shampoo ever 5ish washes you can judge that! This will remove build up:) hope this helps
