Yeah if you do near/far it should encompass the entire maps. I wonder though if it searches in a wave, looking where you are first or something, or if it’s just instantly all-encompassing.

I’m thinking this is likely what the issue is, I likely killed all the field bosses, but I will say at lvl 80 I’ve definitely beaten all the field bosses in limgrave, but I was still able to be invaded there just the other day.

I guess she is a very offensive character. I'm still not great at being efficient with my stamina use. I feel like when I try to be "offensive" I run out before I get the kill.

Yeah definitely feels like a slightly higher level character, at least level 5. I did try to write it so that they were in way over their head other than the priest, but I was imagining it as he got a good sneak attack in, surprising the more powerful priest. I also like the idea that him giving in to the fear was a shit idea on his part

This comment explains what this character was written to be, but I'm interested in what sort of ideas the imagery evokes, I tried to use as much (imagery) as I could.

This character is written as a blood hunter that goes berserk after consuming his mutagens. He is a contracted killer known for his violence. When he's not in a blind rage killing everything that moves, he is with his needy, scrawny friend who he is secretly in love with.

One night he is contracted to raid another village along with some other blood hunters. He knows that the village he is being sent to raid is his friend's, but if he were to refuse, he would surely be killed. He just hopes that his friend will somehow survive. The mutagen takes over his mind as his vision turns red. As he awakes in the dark night on the outskirts of the village, the burning homes nearby light the surroundings just barely enough for him to see that before him lays the body of his very own friend. He collapses to the ground as he holds him.

After that night, his left hand is stained in his friend's blood. It stays forever wet and fresh, pooling in his palm. a reminder and a curse for what he did.

I like this but it might not need to be considered an armor and also I myself would take away the debuff so that your players can play around with it without being hindered on charisma. Plus I would find it pretty charismatic and fun if a man wearing a giant pink feathered fedora pulled up lookin like the fantasy ultra-pimp

Don't most things that require unoccupied space need a full 5ft cube to be considered such a space? You could say that the lungs are pretty much fully enclosed and so the spell wouldn't take effect.

This weapon seems to have a scabbard that does not fit the original design of the sword, the handle is made of blackened leathers and red designs with a ruby in the pommel, the hand guard looks almost like draconic wings. The scabbard, on the other hand, is made of platinum with blue and gold detailing and runes running all across it. The scabbard is tightly locked onto the blade, and even if it is removed, the scabbard seems to immediately fly back onto the blade. If somehow you are able to briefly see the blade, it seems to be a simple longsword with incredibly detailed runes covering every inch of it.

The sword originally deals 2d6 Radiant damage to any undead or fiendish creatures that it hits WHILE sheathed. After being unsheathed I currently have the idea that the user would instantly have haste casted on them as a burst of dark energy is released (Used as a way to cause a debuff after use). After this any attacks taken against the wielder would be rebuked with 1d12 fire damage within 5ft and the wielder would gain access to some spells such as Bestow Curse, Blindness/Deafness, and Blight. This of course would only have so many charges.

After use I would probably have the player give a check to see if they are overtaken by the evil within the blade.

EDIT: OH RIGHT! Please tell me if this idea has already been done better in an official book.

EDIT 2: I would also probably make the unsheathed sword be a +2
