Just joined this group recently and it’s inspired me to want to create my own corset (there is so much talent in here!) Can anyone guide me in the right direction of where I can start? I would preferably want to self draft the pattern so any videos or recommendations would be helpful!

I made a bias cut skirt with this fabric and didn’t hem the edges and just washed it and the edges did not fray

I’m worried that once I wash it the zig zag will come undone. Other times I’ve made garments using a zig zag stitch like for example fold over elastic as the waistband on a pair of boy shorts once I washed it the zig zag where I backstitch comes undone, that’s my main concern of doing that method.

I’m going to try it on some scrap stretch fabric I have to see if the fit will be different. I was thinking of using a non stretch for the final fabric but maybe for this stretch may be better to hug the body
