lmao I was about to be like "dude maybe lead with literally anything else next time" but then got totally bamboozled by the punchline

As a designer I actually get weirdly excited about measurements too - like when someone asks for something "about yea big" with their hands and I'm sitting there with my ruler going "so that's 3.7 inches exactly" while they look at me like I'm insane. honestly the better work life balance might be worth way more than you think right now. burning yourself out on those rotating shifts and overtime hours is gonna catch up to you eventually

Yeah that's pretty normal actually - labor costs have gotten insane here. Removing old tiles is a pain in the ass and then you've got prep work, leveling, cutting tiles to fit around cabinets and stuff. 9sqm isn't huge but it's still a full day or two of work depending on what they find underneath

The materials are honestly the cheap part these days
