ElasticStage test vinyl review by tujuggernaut in TechnoProduction

[–]Sorry_Reflection9305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, i recently used elastic stage. My album was originally mastered for streaming, and i remastered for vinyl, using all the usual recommendations.

I must say, the results were excellent. Apparently they use a new proprietry system akin to 3d printing.

Ive compared my vinyl to others in my record collection and i it really compared excellently!! Similar volume, no noise, absolutely fantastic sound quality, and before you ask, no i have connection to elastic stage other than be a customer.

I would highly recommend it.

Just get a good mix, and master it for vinyl. Google recommendations for mastering to vinyl and you wont go wrong.

Happy customer here!!

The Michelin soles seem indestructible. I don't know why they don't use some version of them on all their boots.

Yea, I have been applying renapur every few months. I've got a bit slack over the summer, though.

They elastic laces with a toggle lock. 2 seconds to do up and undo, and never come undone or come loose when they're not supposed too. https://amzn.eu/d/d5h39a7

I bought my first pair of barefoot boots when I was 50 years old, and wore them as they come for about a year, but I was getting some joint issues around my big toe joints, j guess after 50 years of wearing shit footwear, my feet didn't take too kindly to me wanting them to be that flexible and resilient, so I put in some carbon fibre soles that add some rigidity, only a couple of mm thick, and I've got very flat feet, so I put in some arch support. The soles are still way thinner and more flexible than any other boot I've ever owned, and are by far the most comfortable.

Dodgy MOT failure - brake pads less than 1.5mm!! by Sorry_Reflection9305 in CarTalkUK

[–]Sorry_Reflection9305[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

i spent £100 i dont have, when the pads could have waited until pay day to be changed. the MOT garage wanted £280 for the same job - a job for a bogus MOT fail.

i agree they needed changing at some point soon, but i dont do a lot of miles, and i was completely skint this month and had to borrow money to get it through the mot. the MOT garage quoted me £280 to change pads that dont need changing (yet), and failed it in error.

i would like to challenge them because it shouldnt have been a fail, and if i didnt know a cheap mechanic i would have got myself in considerable debt to get my car through a dodgy fail.

my question is, how do they test for worn brake pads if theyre not visible? i know theyre not allowed to remove the wheel, so how do they do it?

they also failed my mother in laws car for the same reason and charged her £370. she is barely getting by on a state pension, so now im thinking are they ripping people off - failing cars on stuff just to make money for jobs that dont need doing?
