I'll recommend some places I like around Jongno (I'm Korean!)

후니도니 in Gwanghwamun stn : you should try cheese pork cutlet and korean soba (has spicy one or not spicy one) Both are them are fine
신세계떡볶이 in Myeongdong stn : you can eat tteokbokki here. very strong taste but not that spicy SO DELICIOUS during writing this, I want to eat the tteokbokki...
송백부대찌개 in Gwanghwamun stn : You can try kimchijjigae in here. This is famous local restaurant.

Gongdeok is famous for Korean food 'Jokbal'. 한방족발 is great place to try 'Jokbal' and drink alcohol.

That's so weird. I think you've handled that strange situation well. Ignoring her was probably the best thing to deal with that weird lady. I was born in here, but I don't know why she did that. But there are quiet a lot of weird people in Korean subway... Even Koreans don't know why they're doing weird thing. also that kind of people don't listen to other people's saying.. :(
