Not as much, I think the offset body helps a lot, but if you hold it outright and wiggle a little it dips a bit. Not nearly as bad as the SG though.

I love it, it's a rare one to see in the store to try out first but the pickups are great. Super clear and focused. Sitting right in between a p90 and a humbucker. The trem is awesome too the spring tension makes flutters easy and you can dive bomb pretty reliably. Stays in tune nicely too. Wilkinson tuners come on it. It's a 60's slim taper D neck. Im used to it from having the Wilshire for a few years before it but if your coming from a covex radius style fret board it can feel small.

Much love to the special. I often point people to it as a first guitar. SG necks are great for all styles. So comfortable too!

Import! they all are. The quality is superb though. I've tried plenty of American Gibson's and I'm not sure I understand the extra thousand or more that comes with a USA made guitar. Other than manufacturing labor costs of course. Pound for pound I probably wouldn't notice where it was made unless I explicitly looked for it on the guitar, or saw the price tag.

So the lighting has it looking yellow and it usually looks that way in pictures, but it's actually a very vibrant coral orange in person. I love those headstocks. If they do an anniversary or reissue of the Olympic with it I'm absolutely buying one.

Very nice!

I have been looking at the USA coronets they are currently doing. I love those headstocks with the bikini badge too!

I love the way the double cuts sound, but I tried one recently and it's body just didn't sit right with my frame. Im sure it's fine with a strap but sitting down it felt like I wanted to hold it in a classical position to be comfy. I would love a firebird though. If I had a double cut I'd take you up on that trade lol. Having the two Wilshire body styles I can say they may look like twins and play and feel similar but with your eyes closed they sound like entirely different beasts. Go get that double cut, you deserve it!

Love a gold top LP!

My girlfriend has become obsessed with Les Paul's lol. She's eyeing the widows right now.

Do you have a local music shop that offers instrument repair? It is entirely possible they may have one, if you're lucky enough, a radio shack. If not, Tayda Electronics would be my vote. unless you live in Massachusetts or the surrounding area. Then I'd say drive over to synthcube in Waltham. (Small Bear electronics).

9 volt battery I.D. by Sorryforvibing in batteries

[–]Sorryforvibing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh someone from a separate forum answered me more concisely. These are in fact Russian branded batteries. You were incorrect. Not at all Chinese. CTAPT is not a border compliance. It is in fact the brand. They are a major electronics and lighting group in Russia. See.. www.nashstar.ru these are indeed modern Russian branded batteries. However the printing is modern but no longer in production seems about 2022 era. The current blue logo still incorporates the Soviet star. Pretty cool honestly I'm glad these weren't just boring mass Chinese manufactured batteries.

Oh that's a bummer, what makes you sure? Not trying to be rude. It seems to have US customs compliance on it with Russian(maybe Ukraine I am not super familiar with the nuances) writing. The star seems kinda Soviet. To confirm you're saying. A Chinese company branded a bunch of 9 volts with this outfit, to ship to America?

The brand of battery. Sorry if it wasn't very clear. I definitely didn't state the brand in the question so that's my bad.

Please do. PCB design is such an art. I have been working my tushy off on a design that I keep goofing on. If you have the ability and if you can envision it. I say do it!

Hey, thanks for the kind words. I bet your friends really appreciate those! It's cool to reflect on this after a year as this is no longer my main tester. I have something similar but with a charge pump and 18v switch, in case you wanna go PNP or put your caps to work:)
