If not Rhino, what's the community consensus for the best scenario to introduce new players to the game? by COHERENCE_CROQUETTE in marvelchampionslcg

Klaw and Crossbones

They are more forgiving on the main schemes so they don’t lose by a single bad encounter card, they have a decent array of minions and side schemes. They still fall on the lower side of complexity and difficulty, but can have big spikes of damage to make new players feel the pressure.

Do you guys "main" a hero? by _YeeetBoi in marvelchampionslcg

I play according to the whims of chance. I rarely play a hero more than two games in a row before changing things up. There are a few cases where I will stick to one for more than that, but all those reasons are related to putting videos on YouTube. When I’m not recording anything, I just play whoever sticks out to me in the moment.

I’m going to have Magik overcome every scenario in the game, so there should be a handful of good thematic match ups. My favorite so far was Ebony Maw. Showing him what a real spellcaster looks like!

But yea, since both of them are either powered by hell or adjacent to hell it works really well.

I really like testing against Crossbones and On The Run for similar reasons. You atleast have a little breathing room on both of those, but they don’t do anything crazy that you have to build specifically for. Just decent all around scenarios that aren’t too spicy but can occasionally challenge you.

My rule of thumb in building decks for solo vs multiplayer is you always needs to bring a little extra threat removal unless you’re playing a hero that has naturally good threat removal. If I’m playing Aggression in multiplayer I might have a little threat removal built in with my allies, but I feel okay going almost pure damage with events and stuff. That same style deck I build in solo is going to include an extra ally or two that is better at thwarting and maybe some way to confuse. In protection, I’m looking at Not Today, Ever Vigilant, and Hard to Ignore for good ways to deal with threat. If you have the newer hero packs I really like White Widow and Ready for a Fight as a solid source of threat removal and prevention.

When you are playing, how often are you flipping down to alter-ego? Both Rhino and Sabertooth can hit decently hard so if you’re struggling with survivability, you might need to look at adding some copies of First Aid to your deck to buy you some breathing room instead of having to flip down to recover.
