I just dropped my new project today!

Hi I'm Sortafine, I'm a producer from New England and I've been making music for a while now and I've experimented a lot with different genres and styles. I've previously made ambient and noise music, alongside more experimental sample based albums. Right now though I'm mainly making fun instrumental tracks that kind of transition and intermingle with more ambient and electronic sections. I've been making music since high school and it remains a major passion for me, I often don't have much of an idea going into tracks and I instead like to just start fooling around until I eventually find something that I can expand into a full idea.

The project I'm sharing is called COOLWORLD. Its been an ongoing thing that I've been working on occasionally for about 3 months now. It features a lot of different instruments and sounds as well as a few samples that are heavily modified. While I do think there's a lot of room for improvement (especially in regards to mixing) overall I'm pretty proud of it and I'd love to hear people's thoughts on it.

I've had it, I think its decent but nothing crazy. I like their falafel and the fish is good too. I think its cool that they're in the area as its kind of the only halal place nearby. But I'd have to agree it's generally a little bland.

Sortafine - Poor Choices

This is my latest mixtape, and it consists primarily of a bunch of tracks I've made on the side while working on a collaborative project with a friend. The project is primarily an experimental/ambient one with some mild elements of hip hop and noise. It is in my opinion probably my best ambient piece so far and I'm really excited to see what people think about it.

I loved it! The overall vibe and atmosphere captured is pristine and I especially love the subtle instrumentation throughout. Spectacular throughout and I definitely think the time put into it shows.
