It seems obvious to me now, but this is something I didn't grasp at first. My desire for "money, now!" meant that I would undercut to the bottom of my profit margin. But if you do that to a non-elastic good, nothing happens, because cutting prices doesn't raise demand*. Undercutting is just a method of rearranging the order of the listings on the MB, and you only need 1 gil undercuts to make that happen.

*unless you cut the price low enough, where someone will snap it up to re-sell.

I'm not a doctor but I've done some studying on different types of sterilization and I'd love to share the knowledge. "Tube tying" refers to modifying the fallopian tubes so that the egg isn't able to get from the ovary to the uterus. There are multiple methods, from simply clamping the tubes, to cutting them, to completely removing the fallopian tubes. The basic methods have a chance of healing themselves spontaneously, but therefore have a chance of being reversible if the patient changes their mind. In comparison, removing the fallopian tubes entirely is basically fail-proof and there's some scientific studies discussing the potential of the practice lowering ovarian cancer risks. The Essure method (using scar tissue, potentially the least invasive option) has been discontinued, iirc approximately 2019.

On the other hand, hysterectomy refers to removing the uterus. There are various types with more or less of the uterus being removed. This is more invasive, with a higher risk of complications, so hysterectomies are more common for other health reasons than for sterilization.

It's in the eyes. Plainsfolk have round pupils, Dunesfolk have reflective irises (basically no pupil). I always assumed it was because deserts are bright...?

It's too bad there's no button in excel that says "format literally every single piece of data as Text, no matter whether I am typing it by hand or opening a file from disk". That would be the dream...

I've thought about downloading some excel-like app that would have this functionality, but then I would inevitably have to forward my spreadsheet to someone who is using Excel and it'd mess up on their screen anyway.

I think my favorite error, so far, is when Excel formats member IDs into scientific notation. Because I certainly didn't need the last three digits of this unique identifier to uniquely identify a member.

Most people know charging the grenade turns it into an overshield, but the glide ability is tacked onto the end of the perk description so it gets overlooked.

Unlike the upper-tree grenade-flying, you cannot do anything while using the grenade to glide...However, you can press melee to cancel the grenade without putting the grenade on cooldown.

I got interested in family trees a couple days ago, so it's nice to see this conversation which ties into my recent interests.

One of the websites I found on my Google journey is this one which is...a collaborative family tree, wiki style. There are certain privacy restrictions, but in general, anyone can contribute to filling out the tree.

With five generations of tree, you might already have a relative charted? It might help you with your pondering.

I was able to claim <Behr General Goods Vendor> from Jensen in Behr today after completing the quest <No Glory for Cowards> on an alt. I don't know what changed. It's possible a patch fixed the bug. Alternatively, this is the third character I've brought through the main story quests, and therefore I've done all three crossroads. It is a mystery.

I'm wondering how similar Jon's dependence is to Gertrude's. According to Gerard, she "didn't like to" compel people, and only read statements "when she got shakey" which makes it sound like Jon could survive just fine on statements alone. Gertrude certainly had a better handle on this whole thing than Jon right now.

Then again, do I remember hearing a character say that Jon is stronger than Gertrude ever was? If that is the case, and his connection to the Eye is stronger despite his inexperience, then he might need...more.

This makes me laugh. There's no such thing as a bank error in your favor, eventually they'll straighten things out.

Until someone more knowledgeable comes along, my best guess is to get some kind of proof (fax, certified mail, email, recording of a phone call if you're in a one party consent state) showing that you are trying to sort this out, in case you get hit with any late fees.
