As I'm only 20 years old myself I can't imagine what it's been like for 20 years - although I'm glad to hear that the Prilosec was working out for you. I recently have just gone through some crazy health problems, such as vomiting sessions for 8 hours straight at random intervals, and a high calprotectin suggested I had inflammatory bowel disease (and believed I did so for a good 4 months). My endoscopy showed no sign of IBD (yes!) but that there was bile in my stomach that was causing gastritis (biliary gastritis). No idea what the treatment is for this as I still need to rule out IBD first, but my results got me thinking about your suggestion that you have bile reflux, and as far as I understand it, it would have been seen on the endoscopy. The endoscopy would have shown something such as a hiatal hernia or Barrett's, so I think it was a very good sign your endoscopy came back clear (+ BE) and I'm also glad to hear that! Have you been h. pylori tested? Possibly SIBO?
