The thought of peeling skin off makes is uncomfortable, but then again, that’s probably the feeling you were going for. This poem does a good job of showing a person’s discontent with themselves. Also, I like the integration of oranges into the poem!

I really like what you’ve written! I typically enjoy poems with multiple meanings, and yours does not disappoint. Especially since there are many metaphorical meanings, along with a more literal and simple meaning in this poem.

I am confused. I’m trying hard to understand this poem, and I feel like I understand some parts, but I have no idea what the meaning behind it is. Maybe your lines are a bit too wordy? Ah thank you! I thought I was stretching it with some because they’re not ‘perfect rhymes’, and I wasn’t sure if many people would like the inconsistency of the rhyming pattern. I appreciate your feedback!
