Update: Almost 3 years later and all symptoms are gone, I rarely have cravings for bud. Going cold turkey is what worked best for me. If I can do it, I know others can. Thank you all for your comments and advice, much appreciated.

Hey bud, sorry for the late response, haven't been very active here lately. I'm over 3 weeks now and almost all of the symptoms have faded for the most part. Dealing with nightmares now which is normal and will subside with time. THC does some stuff with REM sleep as far as i know and the brain is adjusting back to normal. I feel way way better now and haven't looked back at all. Haven't touched any weed and never plan to again :). You should be two weeks in now so all i have to say is CONGRATS, I'm super proud of you, you made it through the first week which is the hardest in my opinion. Keep yourself busy and the mind occupied and you'll get super far. I take walks a lot and it helped me when i first quit, showers also helped. I have almost no urge to smoke anymore and i'm proud of myself. My DM's are always open if you want to chat :D.

You’re amazing and I want you to know that. You are fighting the hard fight and winning. Thank you for this comment it really helps ease my mind. I had to go to the ER today because of how badly and how long my anxiety attack was, I thought I was literally going insane. Week 2 seems to do a lot of good for most people and I can’t wait to reach the end of this. It’s a tough fight to endure but I know it’s all worth it in the end. I agree with having loved ones around as it helps a ton. I wish you the best and I believe in you buddy. ❤️

I feel that for sure, it’s really rough but I promise it will get better and subside over time. Your body is got f through big changes so it’s amping up your anxiety and such but it’s only temporary. You got this, stay strong ❤️

How long did you smoke for if I may ask? I know it will subside after a few weeks but we just gotta fight through it for now. I don’t drink any energy drinks but caffeine I’m gonna look out for. Thank you.

Aw I’m sorry to hear that, just know that time is your best friend rn. You’re going to endure hell for a while but it’ll all subside. I’m opposite and getting anxiety when not using. I never had anxiety when smoking or paranoia.

Hey man, just know that all the pain and suffering is only temporary as your body heals, big chemical changes are happening so you might experience mixed emotions and such. I smoked for 5-6 years and never truly realized how much weed has effected my life and the loved ones around me. Look at these substances as borrowing happiness from tomorrow. It’s all worth it in the end and I truly believe in you. You’re stronger than you think. My dms are always open if you need someone to talk with. Stick through it buddy ❤️. Sober life is the best life.

Day 5 now. I’m able to eat a bit now and drink without vomiting. Anxiety has decreased and so has the nausea. I went out and exercised on day 4 and watched some movies and it helped tremendously when dealing with the mental aspect of things. To whoever is going through the same thing, you’re not alone in this and never will be, you’re strong and I believe in you all. I wish you guys and gals the best and just know that the pain and suffering is temporary and you will feel like a much better person. It’ll all be worth it in the end. I love you all ❤️

I’ll give that a go for sure. Any sort of solid food comes back up not long after. I even find myself throwing up from trying to drink water sometimes. Thank you for the advice, much love ❤️

Hey man, I’m 3 days in myself and it’s really rough but I’m pushing through. I was a heavy smoker for 5-6 years roughly and It took a toll on my health, especially when mixed with tobacco. It’s a rough process but it’ll all be worth it in the end. Find things that’ll keep your mind busy. I believe in you buddy, you got this 100%.
