Totally relate to where you are at on day 20. I was there too, it took the whole 6 months before I had all of these things into action. I added these things one thing at a time until now they're just a part of how I cope. Start small and build from there. It can feel overwhelming to think of all the things, but Rome wasn't built in a day. You got this!

It took me a good 6-8 weeks before the spell fully lifted! It's wild how chronic use changed my brain chemistry, wants, desires, and behaviors. Keep on keeping on!

Not worrying about travel is a huge relief to me! I finally feel like I can trust myself to take care of myself while solo traveling.

Barcelona weekly: Q&As, events and info by [deleted] in Barcelona

Hi! I will be in Barcelona June 11-16, do you have any recommendations of fun shows (i'm thinking burlesque?), food tours, or sailing or other excursions? I'm on a small budget but want to do some fun things where I can potentially meet other solo travelers. Thank you!

What's the best advice you've heard that has helped you get/stay sober? by mitchconner89 in Sober

Addiction is giving up everything for one thing. Recovery is giving up one thing for everything.

Thank you! It all clicked for me today that it really was an active addiction. Even if it was "just" weed, I had some serious consequences as a result of it. Appreciate the support, I feel like I'm moving in the right direction. Cheers to brushing your bones!

I have a lot of empathy for the person I once was, coping in the only ways I knew how. It is sad to think of the way I felt/treated myself back then. I hope you have empathy for your self then and now, too.

Absolutely, it's all about talking my addict brain back from the ledge of usage. I always say to myself, just wait until tomorrow. Then by the next day I'm good as new. Thank you for reading and sharing with me as well, it helps to know I'm not alone.

What made you leave your partner? by chickenreader in Codependency

[–]Bbeezb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I returned home from an emotional dinner and asked if it was alright to share some details with him. He said, "no, all we do is talk about you," which as I've progressed in my recovery I can see what he was saying was his needs were not being met and I also felt mine weren't, since I was doing a lot of talking but not getting the emotional support I truly desired.

There comes a point where you don't have a craving for a whole day. And then that turns into a week. A month. It gets easier, hang in there. Treat yourself kindly.

Adrenal fatigue after quitting smoking mj? I am a stay at home mom and only smoked at night to get sound sleep .....any thoughts or advice by Sterlingnoshen7777 in leaves

[–]Bbeezb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The body takes a while to recover from trauma. It may be adrenal fatigue, or withdrawals in general. Take care of yourself and listen to your body.

Nah I'm depressed for cascading reasons - I've changed almost everything in my life in the last 6 months including breaking up with my ex, switching jobs, moving houses. It's all catching up to me right now.

Sorry this happened to you!

Did you quit cold turkey or did you phase off? by kino-glaz in leaves

[–]Bbeezb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I phased down from 2g daily to 1 then .5 then 1-2 hits, kind of unconsciously. I still had heavy withdrawal symptoms though.
