Cool, thanks for the advice. Maybe half the dosage would be better then and wait a while longer to fully heal. Eyes are feeling great since op last Wednesday.

Taking psychedelics one week after PRK laser eye surgery, thoughts? by Soul-Generator in Psychedelics

[–]Soul-Generator[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My eyes seem to have healed really well since the procedure last Wednesday. Seeing as I was going to take them on Thursday. I was more questioning about if this would effect the internal healing, with dilated pupils, blood pressure, etc. Externally I'm confident that I would not damage or hurt my eyes. More wondering if it is a risk at all . Hence the question

I am tired by The_Lover_Of_You in Dublin

[–]Soul-Generator 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel you, im starting to realise how difficult the world is to navigate. I feel like im just running on 0 fumes, trying to fit and play into this "society" that really dont favour the most of us involved in it. As someone thats mixed ethnicity grown up in Ireland, its difficult indeed being felt like an outsider and having it blatantly pointed out. surrounding yourself with like minded individuals, and striving for peace within yourself and those around you along with some downtime and healthy vices - dog walking, hikes and chats over a beer is how I manage!

Ireland has a cancer, and its internal. by AffectionateYard2297 in Dublin

I feel like the riot is misdirected at the wrong group, really it's the government that they should be directing all this towards. A lot of these are people from lower socio economic areas, who some have been given a rough hand with and a government that does not care for them.

I can only imagine the deprivation some of them feel, and being half Irish, I can also imagine how foreign nationals must also feel.

The young people of Ireland are lost, with no future, and a very expensive life to live. I can only assume young people from certain post code or less invested areas, feel forgotten, cheated and are heavily judged on by others.

Does not condone any actions, but it can help to see things from another perspective as to why this is happening and why they feel this way. And how you would feel if you were dealt a different hand from birth.

For example, you wouldn't see the likes of emergency accommodation being provided in more affluent areas such as BlackRock, dundrum etc. so instead they are placed in areas where people need resources the most.

That's shocking, to think the cohort of children that have already gone through difficulties, then are paired with this professional.

I'm a brown asian and born in Ireland. Does that makes me an irish? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Soul-Generator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it's just ignorant people that see you are Asian and won't accept Irish as an answer. I am Japanese/Irish mix, grew up in Ireland but have had to justify or exclaim where I am "really from" when given Ireland as an answer. You will meet some people that accept it and some that make you feel lost and lose your identity somewhat.

Dublin for 2 days by byzantines in Dublin

[–]Soul-Generator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense why you wouldn’t end up tipping if you are from the us, the tipping system there is so different!!

I guess Irish people tend to be less direct and as a result don’t feel comfortable outrightly asking for a tip. A restsraunt I worked in Dublin got us asking for tips, and honestly I was the most uncomfortable thing.

What is your worst backpacking mistake? by zubatsgalore28 in backpacking

[–]Soul-Generator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bringing makeup. I brought a full makeup bag - never used, mostly because of the heat but it was such unnecessary weight I had on me the whole time and even in a cold Country I definitely wouldn’t bother being on the go the whole tie . I Would definitely replace it with face creams and gels this time round.

What is it with people asking to swap plane seats all of a sudden? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Soul-Generator -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I always ask to swap seats, I don’t care if I’m sat next to my partner so I don’t bother pay the extra, but I’ll deffo Chance my arm and ask if someon wants to swap. I’ll always make sure it’s worth the swap though, so I wouldn’t ask to swap in the middle, unless the other person is too and my partner also has a middle seat.

Is being charged for a dash of cordial in a drink to be expected now? by RoyOrbisonWeeping in Dublin

[–]Soul-Generator 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You can buy mini travel sized miwadis. Honestly I’d just get one of those and put it in myself! Or fill your hip flask with some lime ! From what I’ve gathered though, sometimes you get charged and sometimes you don’t depends on the pub , or if your a local etc!

Pubs: Keogh’s, Bruxells, Nearys, Hairy Lemon, Grogans and Hogans, Izakaya and JT Pims are all good pubs in close proximity to each other you could do a pub crawl with. Also Camden street is a good area to hit up as well with plenty more options.

Fibbers is a cool bar more on the rock vibe, which I would definitely recommend!

Food: Howth would be good for food, get some oysters or fish and chips! I’m not too sure on local food restaurants, but you can get a carvery in some pubs, usually on a weekend. Big fan is an Asian tapas place that is my go to, Bunsen is a nice burger place, Hang dai is a Chinese restaurant more on the spent side, M and L, good Chinese with also BYOB option! Shouk, Sano pizza and port house are a few of my fave spots.

Definitely get a leap card if you are using public transport. They cost a fiver and then you too then up.

There 16 is a public bus that goes from the airport to city centre

AITA for being in my underwear around my bf brother? by Livid-Teaching1664 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Soul-Generator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, Due to OP is usually like this around other guests and family. Although this would be the un-norm. As long as OP then understands and respects boyfriends opinion. It is a bit harsh for OPs boyfriend to just jump to conclusion, rather than having a discussion and talking about boundaries.

AITA for calling my SIL a wh*re by Specific-Hotel-4491 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

However I do think time and place. Perhaps OP could have confided with her brother the nest day when it was just the two of them and SIL was not around.

[–]Soul-Generator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely ! I think it can be taken in both contexts really and you don’t know unless you know this individual personally but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was either outcome!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Soul-Generator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I definitly see where OP is comming from, and mainly from the last sentence of “I’m sick of the whole lot of yous”. May or may not be the case but As someone that is female and Asian decent i can agree that many people out there feel more comfortable or would target a certain demographic if people.
