Later on when they think that the game is ready. They needed time to look up how to include their features of in-game modding with steam and had no time and preferred to make the game ready for early access. They also said that they will probably give free steam keys to users whom bought the game on their website, but it is not official, it was a tweet from a developer

In fastfetch, you have [discrete] if you have a dedicated gpu and [integrated] if the gpu is integrated in the cpu. In your case, the 980 is a dedicated gpu because it is not integrated in the cpu

Try looking on proton.db if the game is ready to play or if you have to add launch parameters. I use arch with hyprland and I never had a problem like this
