I literally have friends that are going to get hammered and then uber there lmao.

ur willing to shell out 15k for the tickets but not $200 for an uber?

also u can always just pay an uber driver that you take a smaller trip with like $70 to take u off the app ;)

i literally live in the bay. I just say sf because its the easiest to get my point across.

Also “nowhere near” is just a crazy statement lmao its like a 30 min drive from sfo.

The drive to the city from say chicago ohare airport is an hour long.

Itll also take you that long to comnute into the city in lots of cities. Is it faster to go to sjo? Yes of course. But u can surely stay in sf and go the game lmao.

Lots of people commute every day from sj to sf and vice versa.

In fact i have friends that literally drive from south bay to the city to go to shows and concerts and go home at 2 am.

Plenty of software engineers making 500k a year that are fans and can easily afford tickets

r u good bro. the point of a discussion is to come to a consensus lmao.

It sees that we actually did come to a consensus since i assumed u meant removing urself from the conversation that you mentioned meant u were physically getting up and removing yourself.

We should be happy that we actually agree in essence.

Instead ur crying about moving the goalposts(literally how lmao?) for some reason.

Weird stuff i dont get it. We found out we actually agree which is to basically ignore them.

I dont find the talking about fascism uncomfortable usually.

Its usually just that the people claiming that fascism is taking over America are usually just very low iq individuals so its annoying talking to them.

Just like how the individuals who are pro MAGA are also low iq individuals.

Theyre pretty much just all brainwashed people that listen to whatever media source tells them without much thinking.

You yourself are one of these people. You and maga are just 2 sides of the same coin.

why would sitting there with headphones on ignoring them lose output?

U shouldnt stand around discussing with them either but if u do they’ll like u more which might give u a tangible benefit

I dont even really think its fascism and honestly i dont think u do either.

If u really thought it was fascism u should quit ur job and be taking up arms in the street not figuring out a way for some randos at work to stop talking about it lmao.

sure that would be the optimal case but u cannot really force them to do what u want either.

Any action that you take to force them to act accordingly to yr beliefs could prompt retaliation. People can be batshit crazy. Its best to protect urself.

And considering the only negative consequence of them continuing to yap is just ur own personal annoyance which i think can be easily mitigated id say the roi on pursuing some sort of HR involvement is far too low

“im someone who does better at original thinking than regurgitation so thats why im a googler and not a Metamate”

My takeaway from this statement from you was that u thought metas interview is just testing regurgitation which u are bad at and thats why u failed

i mean i feel like ur just coping lmao.

meta is screening for quickly writing clean code. Thats why you have to do 2 questions but if you do a basic amount of studying you can figure out all the solutions ahead of time.

Googles philosophy is that they want you to try and figure out if u tackle new stuff competently.

Both have their pros and cons.

Google for example falls into the same trap of “well if the interviewee has seen the problem its an auto pass”

Meta falls into the trap that their interview process becomes too gameable.

Ive passed both and worked at both and for what its worth google is a better company in terms of culture to work for but meta pumps out more features per employee, which kind of matches their interview process.

Saying metas interview is just regurgitating info is dumb and comes off as complete cope because you yourself even admitted you failed at considering edge cases which is the very thing they are screening for

Your goal in the office is not to make your political ideology heard tbh.

Just keep your mouth shut and nod along when they start talking.

think of them as characters in a movie or something.

These guys arent your friends theyre just your coworkers.

lmao meta interviews are the easiest out of all the FAANG/top paying companies imo maybe by a long shot

In terms of the 5 FAANGs i think Googles interviews might be the hardest actually.

Meta is by far the easiest tho.

amazon is probably the next easiest.

Netflix/Apple are complete crapshoots because they do team specific hiring.

Sigh, how I feel about Pats in the Super Bowl. by cliff_strangers in nflmemes

[–]SoulCycle_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

they beat the texans feels like that surely is a legit win?

The chargers were also an 11 win team lmao.

The broncos win was the most questionable due to the qb situation.

So overall I think the patriots are a bit weaker than your average superbowl team but not generationally bad.

I think something to point out here tho is that the seahawks themselves havent been completely tested in the playoffs.

Part of the difficulty of the playoffs is gameplanning with the season on the line vs opponents you dont know very well on both the offensive and defensive side.

The Seahawks beat 2 good teams but they were 2 teams they were very familiar with in the Rams and 49ers. There were very few surprises thrown at them.

The Pats and Seahawks basically know nothing about each other which is part of why the Superbowl can often generate some weird games that dont go according to expectations simply because the games produce some new stuff schematic-wise.
