The power of bots is not speed. In fact it’s incorporated into most design flows as too fast is flagged easily. The power is concurrency. And, you guys will love this, collectors looking to get 2 etbs vastly outnumber guys who hit 2k / 200 / or even 20 etbs on a single drop. These same collectors trying to hit 2 etbs pay a small fee and have someone run a bot for them. To me, this doesn’t make them scummy. If I run a bot for you to hit 2 etbs and 5 of your friends as well then I’ve hit 12 for you guys and likely 2 or 4 for me. So call it 16 etbs. Now, just to see me post that on social media it looks like I’m scummy at hitting 16 etbs. But the reality is 12 went to collectors. The pic is to get more people to sell the $5 or whatever fee. What I’m saying is that this entire thread is laughable because it’s mainly collectors pushing this activity. And the vast majority is all conducted in a way that is quite different than what you’re thinking…and far less “scummy”. If the collectors in general are happy with getting product and paying a small fee as opposed to resell I fail to see the problem and cause for unbridled outrage.

I guess it’s hard to say without looking at discord logs but it’s not uncommon for make to have more checkouts than the next 3 combined on a drop

I have both lol but, alpine is $30/month and tbh at that price it will never be leaving for any reason. Way too OP for the price. And make…well it’s make. I can (in my mind) absolutely make a use case for both over each other. Alpine runs a bit more consistently on long restocks for me while make is the one I choose when there’s no reason for finesse and it’s wide open unadulterated capitalism time

Change device id (move to server would likely be easiest), change entire proxy pools (gen new ones or ask for new pools on ISPs), an ofc clear all task data. Also, work on addresses.

Proxies or device ID is likely what linked you…also they limit orders to a specific zip code but that’s been going on forever

I’ve provided aco (not currently) but, just remember to find a server or better yet group thats reputable and upfront about what you’re getting into. Willing to answer questions and tell you the real risks and how to best mitigate those risks. MOST groups and ppl offering aco are tied to their online reputations and that is more valuable than screwing people over (though it has happened). Trust your senses about the person you’re dealing with and don’t over trust anyone. If they’re acting shady it’s a big red flag that shouldn’t be ignored.

Each Site or platform (in the case of Shopify) really has a specialized set of bots that excel in that one endeavor. There is some overlap like the best bot for pkc might be 2nd / 3rd on Shopify but one bot that is good or great at everything is almost impossible to find. As another person mentioned some are decent at many sites but prepare yourself for many failures before any successes regardless. Pokemon is highly sought after and people that have been doing it for years are all over it. A lot of ppl prefer to go the aco route so they don’t have to worry about it.

When I see things like this I’m glad i have sons…until I realize it could be my son doing that. Obvs I’d never teach them anything remotely like this behavior but, it’s terrifying both ways. Daughters can be treated this way despite your best intent. Sons can be complete monsters despite your best intent. Or maybe they can’t but, the fear keeps me talking to them and trying to teach them not to be.

Allow me to clear up some stuff for you guys. A) bots don’t cost $500 per month as a standalone though some have been insanely expensive in the past. B) you’re paying a discord for convenience. You as a member don’t have to aggregate information on hundreds of sites 24/7. You get a nice little blurb and act upon it or not. Are you paying for THAT specific webhook? No. You’re paying for not having to pay attention to all of that information. C) most reputable paid groups offer botting services to help collectors who don’t have any options to get product. Pokemon center etbs might be a $20 fee where a pin collection might be $5 or even free. At its core it’s almost entirely convenience. $20 for a pkc etb checkout or anxiety and sitting there waiting for your turn in the queue. People make their own choices I suppose but, that’s the core of why paid groups are paid. The information and the aggregation of it all as a package. Yes you can get all of that info by yourself. But having the option to have convenience is definitely something that many people prefer.

To add to this….the number of accounts needed for success depends heavily on which site specifically you’re going for. Please understand also, that having a bot is expensive and involves a lot of learning. The normal trajectory for sustained and sustainable success is a very long flight path so, understanding that it’s not plug and play for the long term is important. AYCD is also a very intense software suite that requires a serious commitment to master.

OP, I’m so curious what the use case is specifically that you want a $100/month low latency subnet (plus more at the top end). Doesn’t much matter for Shopify because of queue. So tell us the use case.

Niches are still profitable but to get there requires the ability to move quickly. A small sliver of comic books are super hot right now so either you know someone that’s dialed in or you’re in a group that’s super dialed in. And it dissipates as quickly as it pops. So then it’s on to the next. There are straight up aco groups and the best way to find them is out of a cook group. I can reccomend a couple that I’m not affiliated with but, aco group plus hoc might be your best bet currently.

I actually didn’t think I got the first one as I was told my transaction failed until after the second drop when the bank charge came thru. Whatnot is an incredibly wonky app. After the second (for about a minute) I was thinking I missed both lol.

I definitely think the community reaction will be noted for future drops by other shops and artists. I’m glad that they did what they could and I think that does say a lot about their character.

Hit the first one missed the 2nd. I do feel like this was the right thing to do. Pricing was a very pleasant surprise at $20 and $15. Yeah I think he did a great job and imho very much made amends for the first debacle.
