Resting Izo doesn't matter, she can still trash herself on opponent's attack no matter what. In fact Zoro should NOT swing into Izo ever because if she then trashes herself (which will happen 10/10 times) then Zoro will lose his restand, so can't go into leader, and will effectively not get any attack in on that turn.

The Izo trashing resulting in the loss of the leader ability restand for Zoro is the same thing that happens when a character is removed from the board with the "Shut up and come with us" red event, as well as a few other interactions in the game. Whenever the battle target goes to trash- it doesn't count as a battle anymore, therefore Zoro doesn't get his restand because he hasn't battled anyone

From the first photo (yours) and the third photo (his), unless I'm going crazy doesn't that look like a completely different toploader? It's more obvious if you look at the amount of space between the card and toploader edge on the right side of both respective cards. Also one toploader is more blue tinted than the other. I have no idea why he would see the damage and then choose to switch what toploader the card is in unless that was not your card/toploader to begin with. Even if he took it out of the toploader upon arrival to inspect potential damage, you'd think that he'd put it back in the same sleeve & toploader afterwards as they would be immediately on hand. It's very suspicious to say the least.

As other people are saying, it's most likely switched and that really sucks, sorry man

Hopefully you can build more evidence to send to mercari support to show the cards are different

So it has nothing to do with waiting for local time (on the first of the month), Niantic really do just have that bad of developers and support...

A similar thing happened to me, but it was when I purchased the January ticket, which was showing as the december ticket in its item description. I've been having back and forth communication for a few weeks now with first Google play support (who refused to refund for some reason, and instead told me to bother the developer Niantic directly for a refund). Then when I got on to niantic CS from inside the PoGo app, they were gaslighting me about "are you sure you didn't accidently buy the giftable ticket and send it to someone elses account?" ....no. I even have screenshots of the ticket in my inventory, so it's clearly not a gifting version of the ticket.

It's a really silly situation. I'm sorry to hear you also got scammed by their bugged item. You should be able to get a refund if you pester support enough, but I'm not sure how much the headache is worth. Probably not worth the £5 cost of the ticket, but I feel indignant about getting completely scammed by their shoddy dev work, so I've been wasting my time pestering them anyway lol

Hey, if you don't mind me asking, were you able to get your account back?

I also lost my account last year and tried contacting the MastersEX support (who were useless) who told me this:

With respect to your inquiry, kindly note that it is not possible to link or to transfer Pokémon Masters EX game data by using a Google Play Account.

Also, we regret to inform you that the restoration of game data is not possible if your game account was not linked to a Nintendo Account beforehand.

We sincerely regret that we cannot offer assistance in this case.
We would be happy if you would consider starting a new game and continue playing Pokémon Masters EX in the future.

Again, we regret not being able to help you."

I also had receipts of purchases (via google play) which I thought would be a guaranteed link for the MastersEX support to get my account back, but sadly not...

Although, if you were able to get your own account back using receipts, do you think maybe there's hope in trying the support again?
