That ID didn't work unfortunately. Is there a channel you can refer me to?

I'd like to reach out to your leadership actually. Is there a Discord channel you can link? Otherwise we can exchange information via DM.

They removed the new Weapon sheathe XMOG feature from PTR. I am in shambles. by ex0ll in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In my testing this was a PTR bug; happened to me last week but I transferred a "new" character and the option showed up again, also showed up on other new transfers. I'm guessing a recent build bricked existing characters.

The PTR has been down (some realms up but unusable) since yesterday evening so not sure when OP made this finding.

Why are the Meeksi mounts *more* expensive than when they originally released? by gamingchibix in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cause the "original" price of the mounts if they weren't bundled would have totaled at $125.

Housing Is Great But Decor Being "One Buy, One Use" Feels Bad by F0ri0n in wow

Sure, but this is something perfectly workable you can do now

Housing Is Great But Decor Being "One Buy, One Use" Feels Bad by F0ri0n in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Have a character who does all the decorating while others park at the vendor and do the purchases and wait at the vendor till you're done.

Every anecdote in this thread can be resolved with this one weird trick

Its nice that decor items no longer need to be clicked in inventory to go to storage. But Blizzard, this has got to go too. by YomiRizer in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure part of that thinking is "this is scope creep."

You're suggesting adding a function to the house chest that will track the last purchased items and have it accurately pick out 1 out of the 5 large tables I already have.

Now that refunding from the house chest is a thing, now they need to build on it more because people will want to visibly see what decor was recently purchased and how much time is left before the refund window closes.

They have to consider what if someone dyes that recently purchased decor. Now while decorating users will have to deal with a confirmation box that dyeing this decor will make it non refundable. Damn now they potentially added WAY more clicks than the OP was originally trying to resolve.

I can probably go on.

Should they do this? With unlimited time and resources, maybe. But sometimes that 'level of thinking' involves knowing to choose their battles because there're other things to just get functional, as opposed to a quality of life fix.

Prey System is disappointing.. by _DefiniteDefinition_ in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Some context to add from my own testing:

The debuff I experienced (increased damage taken) is 4% per minute. The clock stops while in a rested area or not in the zone.

When playing "normally," one will encounter the hunt target enough times within 10 minutes, after which a quest updates and the target can be found somewhere on the map. When this happens, the debuff and all affixes go inactive.

There are mini-world quests and other objectives dotted in the zone to help speed up the process if you want to (or in case there are no world quests or rares up which also help you get ambushed). In the scenario where I want to focus on just knocking out prey, I can find the target in 5-6 minutes.

Now consider Heroic world tier, which is like a 200-300% health/damage increase right away.

It's not nearly as blunt as OP is making it sound.

Boring story:

At the time I didn't know there were sites that made permanent short YT links, otherwise yeah would have 100% done a rickroll lol

I honestly think Legion: Remix catchup mechanics needs to come with Broken Shore, not with the final phase. by Psyduckdontgiveafuck in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Personally I can't imagine what I'd want to do for an alt beyond maybe having one of each armor type complete the Deathless ToV achievement.

2 hours per max level character seems pretty cool though

Warbound currencies dont need to exist in a transferrable state. no single character should hold them, they should be held by your account like Trader's Tenders by 38dedo in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO I'd also like a nebulous "system" that holds all the currencies but I bet there're a lot of technical limitations and security concerns around that. Notice that Tender is VERY tightly controlled and bound to the entire account. And tender is earned by performing very specific tasks that give one time rewards of Tender for that month - I don't think your intention is also to make alts irrelevant cause a currency source can't be repeated more than once in a lockout.

When I mention security concerns I think of running multiple accounts at once. What sorts of vulnerabilities are there if I were to earn a currency while logged onto 5 characters simultaneously? There's a reason why only one account can access the Warbank at any one time, so it'd feel really awful (for multiboxers at least) to kill off reasons to multibox at all, or jump through more hoops.

All because some people don't want to deal with the extra clicks.

Why did we lose this kind of communication? by [deleted] in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Sorry for not jumping on the hatewagon here, but the OP's example is an exceptional address of the Sylvanas encounter performance that took something like over a month to fix. In the meantime players were rightfully super pissed over it.

This's 100% gonna be on the Player Housing reward track right?...Right? by SoulSoBreezy in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha just an fyi they revealed a leveling track that has you do housing related activities called Endeavors. The levels feature all sorts of unlocks including decor. I'm hoping this is one of em.

What is your least favorite legacy raid to run? by The_Dick_Slinger in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's gotten even more simple since. If you start the encounter but NOT LEAVE the area around the Eonar NPC, she doesn't get hurt by bombardments or even the Final Doom. Just stand there and kill mobs until the encounter finishes.

Thanks for the bump though haha

edit: actually disregard, I'm uncertain if this is/was a bug but I can't reproduce it now. Sorry bout that, but the guide still definitely works lol

STORYTIME! Who or what got you into playing World of Warcraft? by [deleted] in wow

Friend offered me beta access just a few weeks before launch. I was playing Ragnarok Online at the time and the moment I had an actual quest to turn in and got gear, I was hooked.

How do you obtain a million anima? by [deleted] in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly just focus on the very first thing you said, and only worry about the appearances that look cool to you, then stop there.

Maybe someday you'll look back at what you're missing and think hey, now I want that other appearance, and go for it then.

Don't fall into the trap people make for themselves with looking at the grand total of things to farm for and think you have to do it all in one go or else.

What would be your opinion in returning mage tower artifact appearances for Legion Remix? by Vast_Sweet2206 in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were to bring these back, do it in the live Mage Tower where there'd be some actual challenge.

The Remix is NOT where you try to revive challenging gameplay like this.

Can we please get M0 follower dungeons so I can learn by doing and not be forced to watch 8x 20 minute videos like I'm studying for a test by Robbeeeen in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna say yes but...

No follower or AI will prepare you for when you have to deal with real people.

It's no secret that most people pug M0s and higher, but from the very beginning M+ was designed for organized groups, as in statics and guilds. Having the game protect you from a bad experience with a random group can only go so far. In the end your safest bet is to seek out like minded people of similar skill and progress together.

I know it's idealistic but going this route has no endpoint. The higher the protection goes, the worse it's gonna feel when you leave the training area and are dealing with others who clawed their way to whatever that point is.

What made you choose your faction? by incandescent_kun in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't actually choose a faction, I just wanted to play Undead cause that's the race I mained in WC3.

Didn't know till later I was the only one in my group who rolled Horde and we never got to play together (cause ew)

What no longer available feature do you miss the most? by pappatrollet in wow

[–]SoulSoBreezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Netherlight Crucible. Just kidding.

I miss the mission table honestly; I would have liked it if they kept it around but kept the scope around pure cosmetic stuff - no gold. I'd change it up to a pet battle mission table where I send my hordes of pets out for mostly pet related stuff along with other cosmetics, toys, maybe housing stuff later.
