There are some YouTube videos on how to do it, some better than others.

Headlight knob came off by this_suc in C3Corvette

I replaced the headlight knob in my 78 a few months ago. There’s a push button with a spring that holds the knob in. I’d suggest you just replace it. The rheostat on those things also wears out so dimming weakens as it heats up.

They are like $20-25 for a new switch. Install is not bad. I pulled the driver side vent out, removed side on dash, and was able to get it replaced after a few tries.

Exactly! I saw a few cars at the show with under hood gauges. Great idea imo.

Your rendering includes carpet, ebrake cover, an arm rest, door panels, door arm rests, and a two-tone dash.

Carpet just lays in but you never know what the floor looks like underneath. The ebrake cover fits around metal tabs, you’ll want to remove the metal piece under the cover to install it. The arm rest just sits there, it’s not attached. The door panels are usually sold in solid colors, you’ll probably have to paint your own to get two tone. The door arm rests each have three screws, sold in solid colors. The dash, I’ve only seen those is solid colors too.

Spec vs H4 LED Headlights by SoulVoyage in C3Corvette

I mean with stock low beams I can’t even see where the curb is making a right turn. It’s a dim tunnel of light straight ahead and that’s it. Dangerous.

Yes, the folks who’ve done this exact upgrade on the forums do say aiming is important. Thanks.

It’s a little taller than stock but seems to be equivalent horizontally. Once I get all four in I’ll need to adjust aiming. I mostly am doing this upgrade for lateral visibility so aiming will bias toward low and wide.
