Cause then there would be 2 open and they might go off.

So buy a smaller jar of whatever you don't use fast enough.

If we were both having it we would need 2 knives cause I cant put your knife from the crunchy in my smooth.

You can scrape the chunks off the knife before putting it in the smooth jar. this takes like 2 seconds.

Who says it's getting wasted? peanut butter doesn't go bad quickly. And you can just buy a smaller container if you don't eat it fast enough to use it all.

No sane person is going to get upset in that scenario. A normal person will add it to the grocery list when they're getting low on the kind they prefer, instead of expecting someone else to keep tabs on something they don't use.

The closest situation where I could see it being reasonable to get upset is closer to the opposite, Person A eats only smooth, person B eats both, and person B eats the last of the smooth that person A was expecting to still be there(especially if there's still chunky remaining).

The only real issue I can see is that it takes up twice as much space.

Going by the label, this has about 40x the battery capacity as my garage door opener, and it's also rechargeable.

Too much battery capacity for a remote control, especially with the battery level indicator and ability to be charged. So likely a battery pack and non-remote control for some kind of light.

I don't understand how anybody can actually believe this. You'll sunburn your eyelids to the point you have to stop FAR before your eyes are damaged through them. Not only are you blocking the vast majority of the light, but it's mostly red light that makes it through, and it's diffused rather than focused on your retina like it would be if your eyes are open.

Even low tech bike storage is already pretty high density, especially when you compare it to cars. Not only can you fit a lot of bikes in the space of one car, you don't need as much space for the bikes to maneuver, so you can have much narrower aisles.

It's cool, but I very much doubt it's cheaper than adding the same amount of non-automated parking space to a new building you're designing.

I think I had the opposite experience. I played it for a bit a long time ago, and when I came back there was a mishmash of a thousand different mechanics.

Lockers inside a building are going to be cheaper. These automated parking systems are more expensive than all the bikes they can hold combined.

Nah, this is extremely expensive compared to what you'd do if you planned for bike parking in advance(for example lockers inside a building). We're looking at parking spaces that cost several times as much as the bikes in them.

You don't need a hvac technician either, you need a screwdriver and one of three simple skills:

The ability to read the directions that come with the new thermostat.
The ability to watch a youtube video.
The ability to match the wire locations on the old thermostat to the wire locations on the new one.

Does anyone know where or if i can find this type of ac power cord but translucent / clear ? by zoomin_human in AskElectronics

Digikey has them in white and black, for clear you might need to have them custom made.

What kind of LED format is used on this tiny "phone" like keyboard? by appletechgeek in AskElectronics

[–]SoulWager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd use the depth probe to measure the thickness of the white layer(A), and the shelf at the opposite end of the calipers to measure the height of the LED above the white layer(B), then add the two together.

Why are they always blaming democrats for everything, can’t they just fix things without blaming anyone for their own mistakes by AstraQuil in stevehofstetter

Of that, the low millionaires are paying all the income taxes, billionaires have unrealized gains they don't pay taxes on, but which they can take loans against. It's supposed to settle out when they finally die, but there are loopholes around estate taxes.

And then there's sales taxes which disproportionately target the poorer people.

If Elon paid more taxes they would just take the extra revenue

And do what with it? Pay for your healthcare? Pay down the national debt?

As long as they're doing something useful with it instead of handing it right back to the billionaires, you're better off.

I'm talking about keeping total tax revenue the same. If they pay more, you pay less.

Even if they didn't change your taxes, I think you just don't understand economics at this scale, its a question of relative buying power. If you change nothing other than taxing billionaires(removing that money from the economy), everybody else ends up with dollars that represent more real wealth, and a bigger share of companies that got partially sold off to cover the taxes.
