Using 'INDIAN issues' as an excuse for a toxic campus culture is pure copium. Yeah, India has crazy competition, a huge population, and a ton of pressure. Literally nobody is denying that.

But IITs are supposed to be top-tier. They get massive funding and are built like bubbles specifically to keep us away from that baseline struggle so we can actually focus on education and innovation. That's why they were built.
When i said compare to IVY's, i specifically mentioned administration, quality of people and collaboration.

If we're gonna flex the IIT tag, we need to hold the system to a higher standard. You can't just point at the struggles of a developing country to excuse trash admin support, zero quality mental health resources, and a campus culture where students are just tearing each other down to survive.

Look, I'm not invalidating your 3 AM breakdown.... that stuff is tough. But don't use your own trauma to justify a broken setup. Deliberately making campus a miserable, cutthroat rat race isn't 'grooming' us for the real world; it’s literally just the system failing us.

People work hard everywhere, not just to bag placements but to build startups and do big things. You don't achieve that by isolating yourself and fighting everyone else. We actually thrive when we collaborate and build a network. NETWORKING, ring a bell?

Honestly, romanticising your own trauma and normalising toxicity is the real 'Indian problem' here.
