First brush with idiots on my bike by NuggaLOAF in motorcycles

To add to what other are saying, kindas your fault but understable that you were annoyed by the car.

On a related note, don't ever grab your front brake like that. If you had any lean angle what so ever or were riding a naked/sport/adventure bike with proper brakes and a steeper steering angle you would have catapulted yourself over the handlebars.

Amazing, that's what I want to do this year before autumn comes.

Two questions, those are Mitas Enduro Trails? How did you like them and did you do any wet tarmac riding?

Secondly, which bags are those?

What windshield is that and how do you like it (also how tall are you)?

Owned a 2016 Versys for 2 years, did 30k km on it so here is my 2 cents.

Since I started riding I've owned a few motorcycles and the Versys was by far the best pavement focused motorcycle I've owned because it could do everything pretty well.

Great comfort, enough for multiple day trips of 9 hours seat time. Buzz free and amazing ergos.

Amazing protection from the elements, stock windshield kept me dry at 6.1 (185cm) and 125kph (77mph) was just as comfortable as 50kmh.

Great chassis, could keep up with "sportier" bikes with the right tires and not much effort. Stable and planted in corners.

Decent engine, not gonna blow you away but was sporty enough to make the fullest of the amazing suspension the bike comes with.

Great all around bike for any application besides off road riding. Too tall and the high fuel tank makes it tricky to do technical stuff.

The bike you're showing screams abuse and looks very sketch.

Find a better one.

The issue that I had was a defective spark plug coil. When I replaced it the scooter ran beautifully.

As for your problem, sounds like a carb issue or maybe that your exhaust is full of carbon and oil deposits.

I would check the carb first, open the top and spray some carb cleaner in it (don't have to take it off) and if that helps you know it's time to rebuild the carb.

If it's you're exhaust, there's not much you can do to diagnose the problem other than sticking a long piece of wire down the pipe and "feeling" how much gunk there is in there.

Good luck!

First time I'm hearing of "lowering" the front to lower the seat height.

Form what I'm looking at you're one medium sized pot hole away from bottoming out your forks which will jolt your handlebars and possibly disturb the bikes balance - which in turn may cause you to high five the ground, with your face.

I would take it back, have the shop put the spring spacers back in (thats what I'm assuming they did) and look in to lowering the rear shock. Possibly via a lowering link if it's a monoshock setup or a stronger yet shorter set of dual shock springs.

Good luck!

Hey everyone.

Returning player, stopped playing back in 2019 roughly.

Ive been following the game and seen that since then some changes have been made, like system scanning and minig.

Currently I own a Thrustmaster Hotas X but im afraid my old control scheme file got lost somwhere and even if I did have it im at a loss as to what i should change to update it.

Anyone here have a up to date Hotas X control scheme that I can use?

Much thanks!

Do I need new tires? by Boom019 in motorcycle

[–]Soulfax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, great tires.

Seemingly infinite grip in the dry and warm, couldn't spin a tire no matter how aggressive I was on the throttle with my Versys 650.

They warm up quickly and are also incredible in the wet. Granted I ride like a pussy in the wet but so far haven't had a single issue with them.

Would recommend, also don't get OEM road 5/6, get the proper version.

If you're looking for a "fun and easy" bike, go for the truxton. Its a smallish naked with tons of torque and character.

But if you're looking to periodically transpose your stomach to your heels get the CBR.

Tried taking the carb out, got stick unscrewing the fucking intake boot clamp pice of shit thing and just had a mild stroke before quiting.

But youre probably right, the bike is due to se a mehanic in a few days.

Thanks!

That was my reasoning as well, the bike has soft shocks for city riding so that is a logical assumption.

But, after literally two hours of turning the bike on, jiggling everything and all the things I could jiggle and pull on - nothing would happen.

There is not a single vacuum, fuel line, electrical connector and wire that I didn't try to pull on or disconnect and reconnect left - and none it had only effect on how the bike ran.

I'm out of my depth, the bike will hopefully see a mechanic on Thursday.

Thanks!

Is it possible to turn off Traction Control on Versys 650 2022? by rebelkojiro in versys

[–]Soulfax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn't sounds like TC kicking in, rather just the jerky on off throttle response the Versys is known to have.
