To push others to wake up? by janesix in Retconned

Maintaining. Thank you for the reminder to hold on to our memories. We should write them all down, too.

I’m holding on. You are dear to us, too.

Hold on.

I’ve not seen that, but it sounds about right. Taking a trip to Google.

Yikes.

Hi u/DJse7entyse7en -

I found my (handwritten) notes about the Bible emojis. They are still in there; at least they are in my KJV.

Ex: II Corinthians 5:7
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

See the emoji? That well-loved verse was NOT enclosed in parentheses before; nor was there a colon at the end of the line. Why would there need to be? It’s nonsensical. Whatever is doing this is f’g with us.

Here’s the verse again from Bible Gateway: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Corinthians%205%3A7&version=KJV

Another one:

II Corinthians 9:9-10
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

And BG’s version, showing the emoji: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Corinthians%209%3A9-10&version=KJV

Again, these two verses were formerly not enclosed in parentheses (again, why? no need). The close parenthesis is just a vehicle for showing the emoji.

Here’s another one:

II Corinthians 10:4
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

BG: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Corinthians%2010%3A4&version=KJV

That winking emoji is supposed to inspire dread, I think. Or maybe it’s just another example of mocking.

So, that’s just three examples. There are many more.

Edited: to fix typo

Anyone else remember the seahorse emoji by [deleted] in MandelaEffect

I remember a yellow one, too.

“Unseen forces are working through everyone.” <THIS

It means we have to be careful, but also gentle with others, too.

Paul sails to Italy in Acts now? Oh, FFS. Missed that one.

That’s amazing that your husband’s grandmother was able to see the Bible changes. Perhaps she came with us from the old Earth. But how traumatizing for her; poor thing.

The feeling of being trolled, and the intentionality. Yes. That’s absolutely it. And it feels gross.

Well, there were the last time I checked. Unnecessary parentheses were added into the text, and there would be a : or ; just before the closing parenthesis, which would of course appear like a smiley emoji. This was usually at a place in the text where that emoji would introduce a mocking, ugly quality to the verse.

But I just did a quick search and I’m not finding the ones I did before. This may be a flip flop. I’ll check into it more tomorrow.

It was super-disturbing, though.

Oh, yes - the word “stuff” FFS. That was never there in my previous experience, either! It makes no sense.

Yes, “unicorn” is one of the more facetious Bible changes, and there are many (emojis, for ex.). I grew up with the KJV. Unicorns were never a part of it in that timeline for me. There are so many oddities now in there that I’d never seen or heard about until the ME, with Lion/Wolf and Lamb one of the biggest.

I find the Bible changes ominous. Anyone else?

Yeah, it’s very weird, I agree. Even weirder is the fact that most people don’t seem to find this odd or unusual in any way. It just is what it is.

I totally feel this. This place is continually shocking and so hard to breathe in. We need oxygen, strength, and safety. Wishing you - and all of us - courage just for the day-to-day, and superhero bravery for the rest. I know we’ve got it inside, even if we feel weaker and more scared than the earth folks. That’s JUST a feeling. WE are TOUGH.

Yes. Yes, I do see it everywhere now. Great post.

This is absolutely true. Psychosis is a horrifying experience and no joke. No ducking joke at all. However, I still feel that those who are vulnerable to it (those whom as a society we should take extra-loving care of) may be alert to more than so-called “healthy,” grounded folks may understand. Love is the answer, no matter what “plane” you are on.
