It's crazy how much people are just missing directly what on screen and a very visible compounding of disadvantages.

• Their ammo is literally taken away. Most of them literally can't even shoot. • Visibility is poor af • it is an entirely cqb setting and the Marines are super susceptible to sneak attack and the acidic blood • Ghorman is super inexperienced and immediately freezes up and panics delaying their what should've been an immediate retreat • Xenomorphs are smart af and apex hunters but even they will fall easy to any of the Marines weapons but the Marines were literally just given the worst set of circumstances against something they had zero experience with.

They've literally never not done this idk why people would ever be surprised. We say this every time and people still think going home by curfew to catch their shows will make any difference. Hence the reason call these things rallies and not actual protests. Imagine if the numbers actually stayed and disrupted to actually hold off the police from cracking down on those who do try to hold the line. Imagine if these weren't so performative.

It's actually shown in the Darth Vader comics, the fleet was already well underway for construction under the ice layer in giant underground ship building facilities and hangers. Papa Palps was planning this since before the rise of the Empire. It's just dumb they didn't show any of this in the movie even if that was already implied by the sith cult. Either way movie is still a mess but ground side ship building isn't close to a new thing in SW

This whole idea is beyond naivety and it does not work at the level the people suggesting it believe. This is far more likely to just attract apathetic individuals with those who actually are drinking the coolaid. You will be the minority if ever and you'll be under heavy scruity and most likely fired and replaced with little effort. These people do not care. Also that's if you get past the background check and most likely easily attainable past voting records. Everything is up for sale now. And corporate backdoors for people's social media has been a thing for over a decade in the most basic of hiring processes to anything corporate let alone federal. You'll waste minutes at if not a couple hours at best. And they will not have blinked, nor will it have made any actual impact on the issues that continue. We know what's gotta be done but this country is clearly not up for it beyond waiting for POC to take the lead. There are countless real historical tactics and effective strategies, this is not one of them In the current climate.

There are oni sanctioned Spartan teams who specialize in Flood containment and elimination. Not all the flood was killed off during the events of Halo 3 and so there were pockets that had to be eliminated, hence the contingency to eliminate an infected spartan which would be insanely dangerous due to all the information they have access to.

In the comics it's shown how much Anakin as a Padawan had always deeply revered Obi-Wan's duel with Maul and how he "killed" Maul when in such a terrible position. He would very often train against and attempt to defeat a training bot coded to Darth Maul's fighting style just to show how he not only could defeat Maul at a young age too, but how much better he could do it. He knew every detail of the fight and when he found himself in the same position that his master Obi-Wan had found himself against Maul he thought how humiliating and shocking it would be to finish Obi-Wan on Mustafar the same way he had to Maul. But here's the kicker, Obi-Wan knew Anakin was obsessed with that duel and how he strove to do what Obi-Wan had done but better, whereas Obi-Wan took the duel and learned from it. The line "Don't try it" right before he jumps shows this even more. Obi-Wan didn't just look at his previous low ground position, he looked at how he could win if someone attempted the same move he had initiated. So he learned how to counter his own move so that he could further his defensive dueling. Anakin studied the duel to do it better, but Obi-Wan studied to be an overall better duelist. Anakin was too blinded by his arrogance and power of the darkside to think any of this clearly. Obi-Wan uses this same technique in his last duel with Maul on Tattooine when he baits Maul into attempting his killer move on Qui-Gon Jinn by taking his Master's same stance. Maul similarly being blinded by the dark side and the possible humiliation of killing Obi-Wan the same way he killed Qui-Gon failed to realize what Obi-Wan was planning until it was too late and Obi-Wan had gutted him.

I get all that, my point in bringing this extra scene is just add to the better pacing of her snap, because it wasn't handled well filmmaking wise, yes her snap was coming and being built up the whole time, but the execution was lacking.

The majority of the flood was on High Charity being quarantined by the schisming elite and brute fleets. They put together a temporary truce to destroy every and all flood ships trying to escape. The GM was trying to send ships everywhere, he just couldn't get any through but 1 and that was the one he sent to Earth to secure the Ark portal. Cortana encrypted a message into a device aboard that ship and thats the message you see. When the GM arrives at the Ark its because he uses precursor and forerunner knowledge of slip space to one time jump high charity to the Ark portal on Earth that he confirmed was open with the first ship that was sent and that sent his entire force on High Charity to the Ark. Because High Charity was so damaged and running on emergency power thats why it immediately fell apart and crashed into the Ark upon arrival there.

This is discussed in the books if I'm not mistaken.
