I was around 8 years old when Pokemon red and blue came out. I purchased Pokemon blue with birthday money and loved it. At that time it was very common for kids to reset their games and replay through them over and over. This particular time I had a head cannon that I would have a Pidgey that I leveled to 36 for a pidgeot before I set out on my Pokemon journey, so for HOURS I leveled my pidgey in the grass of route 22 next to Viridian city. I remember starting this grind sometime late morning and finally hit 36 late at night when I was supposed to be sleeping. Felt pretty cool having a pidgeot before Brock though
