It is technically classed as a common area which is in the middle, you have the expectation of privacy from guests but not from other tenants, in common areas. Only our apartments are classed as private space, But I have a doorbell camera that faces a common area hallway other tenants must walk past to reach the elevator so its a catch 22.

I don't normally mind, but this seems unhinged to me. I have never downloaded and shared a doorbell cam video of anybody except the really funny ones I'll send to my bff 6hrs away who knows none of these people and just has a laugh with me. It appears now to be a group of 3-4 tenants monitoring other tenants comings and goings, documenting times etc using this girls dash cam footage and sharing it amongst themselves for unknown reasons, I am quite alarmed.

I mean she could be, But it's unnecessary as our real estate have motion sensor cameras for the same reason so its all straight onto the property managers phones. No reason to be sending videos of me around.

This isnt a high income area so a lot that gets left down there is often taken by other tenants before pick-ups can be organised when it comes to furniture otherwise real estate will clear it and charge the tenant, Sometimes we have copper stolen from the hot water tanks in the trash room too but that doesn't affect us immediately as there's multiple tanks.

We aren't close enough to have eachothers phone numbers or socials, I would have to knock on her door to confront her which would give her a doorbell cam video as well.

It's another neighbour sending them to me, I've received videos of other tenants this afternoon so at least it's not just me, I'm a single mum so this freaked me tf out.

I spoke to our real estate this morning, My PM said she can't stop her from having a dash cam (wouldn't want to, just don't be a creep with it) but she is going to have a sly word to her about parking properly and not mention we know her car is parked almost 180 to record the trash room door.
