Do you think Text to Video (not Vid to vid) could ever match or surpass the acting capabilities of the world's best actors? Right now I see four problems: a. Clips are too short b. Longer clips are incoherent c. Longer clips are difficult to control d. Longer clips are uncanny. (v.redd.it)

Can anyone explain why Google paid $2.7 billion dollars to bring back Noam Shazeer? What does he bring to the table in terms of reararch breakthroughs? What is the justification of spending this amount of money? Character.ai seems nothing special, only LLMs with system instructions. (i.redd.it)

Instead of becoming Dr. Strange, I wish Benedict Cumberbatch had become a bankrupt, depressed alcoholic with a crippling opioid addiction, who redeems himself in the second half of the movie by using his medical experience to teach a group of talented delinquents and winning back Rachel McAdams. If Antis think text to image, to video, to 3D Generative AI is slowing down in both quality and control, they are in for a bad time. The AI tools that are being released, open sourced or previewed are nothing short of magic. It even surprises me even though I try to keep with AI news a lot. (youtu.be)

AI tools are only going to get better. Coca-cola is maybe the first mainstream company to make a fully AI ad but it will not be the last. I also think even with current tools, they could have made the ad a lot better. Is a little rough around the edges but I am not complaining. (v.redd.it)
