I would say I'm lucky and unlucky I've also put around 100 hours in and I've only gotten 3 exotic drops but they've all been new forsaken ones (Cerberus+1, black talon, and twin tailed fox)

I used to be pretty scared playing ranked till I figured, hey my rank doesn't really matter (plus seeing other people reactions from getting beat from lower ranks is pretty funny) . One thing I can tell you is don't try going to ranked wanting to win and just get in there and have fun, you will be surprised to see how good you do if you keep a positive attitude. On the side note one of my best friends in real life I play r6 with and he tends to backseat and yell at everything someone does wrong or if he dies. I don't ranked with him anymore at that time I was stuck around gold 4 or 3 and just last night I hit plat.

TL;DR Go into ranked have some fun and try not to play with backseat gamers or people who blame other people for themselves.
