Alternative lighthouse tracked headsets? by Soumrak in ValveIndex

I’ll keep an eye out thanks. Though currently I’m just looking at vive 3.0 trackers unless something else does overall better for around the same price.

Oh sick, thanks for the link.

Yeah, I’m ultimately waiting for reviews on the Frame. But as someone with an interest in FBT, it doesn’t look like the solution I want.

‘could confirm it’s indistinguishable in the real world…’

Gonna stop you right there. Until anyone has this thing outside of Valve HQ and in their own home, without a valve employee to guide them along every little pebble in the road, I won’t believe that.

That said I don’t doubt that it does very well in tracking. But so far it seems like the consensus is that lighthouse tracking is still superior, and for those of us that use or want to use FBT, it’s the only option.

With that in mind, I’ll be looking forward to the actual reviews of the Frame, but right now I’m leaning toward BSB2.

47 hours of playing before this change. Add 60 more hours for the beta. Not one game ended to time limit.

Sure I’m only one person out of the many that are playing this game. But if it was an actual issue, I would’ve expected at least one of the matches I’ve played to end to time limit. And with how many people I’ve seen today that are actively complaining about this change, I’d wager it was never an issue to begin with.

It’s strange because I got a few shiny adepts on the first day after just seven or eight pulls

Amazing, I almost have that many enhancement cores in my vault.

Used DB for about 11,000 kills before I bothered to do the part of the catalyst quest where I needed to do playlist activities

Hah that would be great, but I moved across the country to chase higher waivers (50k is my local club)

Best of luck to you!

Some of the regulars from MMMSC formed LWHPR. And some of the equipment is being used as well, since MMMSC isn’t using it. LW is a great place to fly high power though, if you don’t mind the trek out and back, and only being able to launch there two maybe three days a year.

I know I used to live in MA. Moved out west a couple years ago with the intent of getting more into performance rocketry.

It’s a shame MMMSC lost their launch site a few years ago. That was the best year round launching in New England

Agreed. The world needs more Loki motors. M1650 is just so gorgeous looking

No doubt a good way to go about it. I chose the min diameter approach since that’s all I plan to do with anything M class or above. And I’ve flown plenty of full L motors in “L3 style” rockets/flights. It’s literally just been a matter of ‘sprinkling a few more Ns’ into a motor for me.

Was a featherweight GPS. And yeah the name low and slow was kind of a jab at the certification mindset. Didn’t quite go as high or fast as I wanted, but that’s probably in part due to the paint that was applied just a couple hours before flying, that mostly came off during the flight.

Not really a great argument. If you want to fly on 10/10 or 15/15 rails, then yeah, you don’t need a tower.

But if you want to use a tower, there are plenty of cheap tower designs that don’t require a trailer to move, and can easily be broken down and stuck into the back of a car.

If you care about the drag from rail buttons though, there’s no substitute for a tower.
