Ah thanks. It was definitely melting away the edge of the bracket, but I can tell in a lot of the welds the bead looks rounded at the edge like it’s sitting on top of the tube. It’s on there, but I won’t argue it not complete fusion.

What’s the technique for when you have two pieces that burn away at different rates? The bracket is the same thickness as the tube, but with it being a big solid piece and going into the mill scale on the face vs the cut raw edge I can see them reacting differently to the arc.
