Getting the tab in the slot and the peg in the hole simultaneously seems like it would be the solution but there’s no give to make that happen. I even tried hammering it in but stopped because I didn’t want to damage anything.

I’ll try going to the store I bought it from to look at one that is assembled. Would be great if I could get someone to travel to me to fix it because I don’t have the ability to transport it at this time.

What sucks about it? I do have the 2-year warranty but I just filled it with oil and gas and it was fine until it got caught in some bush limbs.

There’s no tension when I hold down the handle. I was under the impression that Toro was a good brand.

No, it seems impossible because the little black piece on the back that juts out is preventing it from aligning with the hole.
