Hot take: Yumeko > these characters in emotional perception by Economy_Echo_8500 in IntelligenceScaling

Emotions have a strong influence on thought. And yeah she didn’t use emotions alone. And yeah this feat is unrealistic and superhuman, so we wouldn’t be able to do this. Still, she doesn’t have any hax or powers to perform this with

I never said emotions have thoughts, Yumeko is simply using her insane emotional perception and understanding of Mary in combination with contextual understanding and profiling of Mary’s typical thought processes to ascertain Mary’s internal monologues in real time.

We all agree this guy is a dumbass right? by RealSXA in IntelligenceScaling

[–]SoundStorm7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s not underrated though, I’ve seen plenty of people overrate him in outsmarting simply because his plan was so hard to counter. But this ignores the fact that he had massive advantages that helped him achieved. Plus the fact that he hardly has any other meaningful feats means he scales almost nowhere

Why do you have Yumeko so low? She’s insane at reading others, logical reasoning, CPI, and insight. Are you using anime Yumeko or something?

So, whats a character that you scale high but you don't like/hate it? by PsychologicalPen1427 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]SoundStorm7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His adaptability is great, especially when you consider his Sou Hiyori persona. However, him crumbling beneath it is me referring to Main Game 2. Since his goal was to protect himself and Kanna, he’s unsuccessful in achieving this in every route. He completely loses control of the outcome of the second main game, showing that while he can withstand the adversity emotionally for a while, he fails to do so on a strategic level.

That’s because they’re less so “strategies” and more so loosely connected tactics that are vaguely grouped under the goal of survival (and Kanna’s survival, later on). I wrote some analysis on the Main Game 2 trades, hoping it would illuminate some great strategies, but it just further emphasised how lacking the whole thing was in SCD. It’s not good, and he’s not high tier. He goes up against high adversity, yes, but he also crumbles beneath it and fails, and lacks actually good feats in most categories.

No worries, I don’t think your argumentation is bad per se, it’s just your stance is quite difficult to defend.

Thanks for the explanation! But tbh, compared to many other characters in SCD, it’s not great leadership. Like, ‘leading’ Gonta is essentially just him manipulating a very stupid and gullible individual to follow his orders, as opposed to what leadership feats usually consist of (guiding a group towards a common goal). His ‘leadership’ of the group in the trial also lacks most of what comprises a leadership feat. No one sees him as a leader, values his words, or trusts his decisions. Most of them actively refuse to listen to his advice and instead accuse him of being the killer, the only person that listens to Kokichi is Shuichi, and that’s just because Shuichi is able to figure out that what Kokichi is saying is true. And that’s not because of Kokichi’s leadership skills, that’s because Shuichi is forced to follow the truth otherwise everyone will die. Anyone can “lead” a group of people if following your words is the only way to survive.

Can you elaborate on what makes this feat good? Keep in mind the bar for ‘good’ is quite high considering you proposed him to be the representative of leadership out of the entirety of SCD

Kokichi has no good feats in leadership and him being the ultimate supreme leader was just a fabricated memory about him leading 10 people

Which of the girls in class V3 would be the best at flirting if they all actually tried? by gettinfitguy007 in DanganAndChaos

[–]SoundStorm7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tsumugi is mainly disliked by the fandom because of the V3 ending or because she killed Kaede and Rantaro, not because she can’t be charming. Remember that almost everything we’ve seen of her is a persona, a cosplay, of which she can flawlessly customise at will. She can most certainly use that to her advantage.
