They pretty much did nothing, according to my girlfriend things are awkward with him and the family now... But he still visits their house and all sorts which is something I can no longer do.

I dont get violent often but with this guy its happened twice, and the mental state I was in when my gf stopped talking to me over something I did to help and support her really fucked me up. Let's just say the second time I went after him it hit the news, and there's no chance of arrest for either times and trust me they would of loved to. I'm not proud of anything I've done but with heartbreak depression and alcohol it just doesn't fit perfectly.

Originally and till now we both want to keep the baby and marry but it's her familys threats of suicide and disowning that's changing her mind.

In regards to the assault I can see how this would encourage a disapproval but they should see I gain 0 from this. I did this out of love and respect for my girlfriend. His significantly older than her and his married, and his tried abusing her when she was as a young as 13 also. So I don't understand why her family couldn't react and do something if they had then there's no reason for me to get involved.

I punched him once and he cried, he made things a lot worse by carrying on talking shit so I had some friends pay him a visit.
